It was cold, windows cracked I flip a page, twist my back. I shoot you a look, your eyes moved to my book. A girl up to your knees Muttered through her lips, I heard the words âpleaseâ You searched your pockets My fingertips perched on the glass, Is sheâs wearing a locket? Our eyes meet. That harsh stare, I Slump back down, fingers cold, alone in my chair. Not much time passes, the shopâs filled by the masses. But whoâs this by the cakes? The tableâs covered in pamphlets; I see lakes, I read cabins. None of itâs fake. Up close, the girlâs rather small I notice this when she stands up against the wall. The place is busy but here comes the server, The children play chase and laugh with no fear. Heâs sitting with you, just you and him, him and you. Youâre looking so peachy, your cheeks are now peach, And my mind feels sucked at, drawn by a leech.
