I didn't get many pics of this because we had less than two hours to work on it, but: one of Jim's parents' ancient apple trees died and was subsequently uprooted in a storm. Their metal fence is the only thing keeping it off the road; one of the branches was still jutting out and forcing drivers onto the verge to avoid it.
We hacked it up with Jim's polesaw and the chainsaw and now it is just a stump for dogs to pose on.
Always makes me sad every year to see how many fresh Christmas trees never find a home.
This year could be partly cuz prices were crazy high. 6' trees at Home Depot were $89.99!!! 😱
