#sad trees

I didn't get many pics of this because we had less than two hours to work on it, but: one of Jim's parents' ancient apple trees died and was subsequently uprooted in a storm. Their metal fence is the only thing keeping it off the road; one of the branches was still jutting out and forcing drivers onto the verge to avoid it.

Trees are such melon collie creatures, swaying softly like drunken ex-lovers. Dropping little pieces of themselves every time the wind brushes softly by. Never asking for anything but always reaching.
