this took so much longer than i was expecting it to, given that i usually leave my linework as a sketch and only do basic colors, but i think it was good practice for shapes/shading!

#the idea i had here was zuko being in an arranged marriage/betrothal to mai after the war bc #a water tribe girl would be too controversial for his schismed nation #and he is torn between love and duty #katara #being the southern water tribe ambassador to the fire nation #is occasionally there on business and as the wedding approaches #she finds herself pained to be around zuko but inexplicably drawn to him #they never had a chance to explore their feelings and everything post-final-agni-kai was a whirlwind #still #they will make up (and kiss??) eventually but first #zuko and katara are gonna cry a little and freak out about the Implications #zuko #angst angst angst #maybe i’ll finish this someday #probably i won’t #but enjoy!#zutara #zutara supremacy #atla #avatar #avatar the last airbender #drawing #digital art #my art <3 #katara is having a hard time and blows up on poor zuko #sachibugg
