i agree but i personally just can't picture margaret qualley doing something like that without it seeming forced. i can picture isabelle adjani screaming and going insane in real life because that's just how she feels to me. but i fear if they remake possession and cast margaret it's just going to seem like the substance part 2. i absolutely love margaret qualley and am obsessed with her, but i don't think it's in her range to naturally do that. if it does get made, she could prove me wrong and i'd be fine with that, in fact, i'd be delighted, but i just don't think that

people just cast popular actors and actresses for things instead of showing the world new faces, which is why margaret qualley didn't massively blow up until the substance, and why margot robbie didn't massively blow up until barbie. they were both still very famous in their own right, but they weren't a-listers until those movies.
i don't think there should be a possession remake because i don't think anyone else can do it like isabelle. i cannot picture any actress that i know of playing anna and making it seem natural (even if natural is overacting). and they want callum turner to play mark. ew.
i do agree with you sabs on the fact that margaret qualley is a better actress because she makes you feel like what you're watching is real and you're experiencing it with or as her, but i don't think she should play anna just because she looks like her, i don't think it's her role.
but honestly if she really understood the character and wanted to do the movie because it means something to her and she genuinely enjoys it, she might pull it off. but as a society, i don't think we can remove her from sue, which might make things complicated.
