(I know itâs technically day two but I forgot it was this week)
Sam winced at the stinging of the alcohol as his wound was washed out, trying hard to put on a brave face as the doctor and nurse cleaned out the shards of glass and gravel from the wound.
âYouâve had an awful day, huh, son?â The nurse asked, passing the doctor more saline as she picked each piece of glass out with the extra long tweezers. He held the tray out for her, each tiny rock, each jagged shard, and every little miscellaneous piece of garbage making a very audible thunk against the stainless steel. He sighed when the tray got too full, leaving to get another.
The doctor turned her greying head up at Sam, looking through her glasses at him in sympathy. âYouâre sure you donât want to talk to the officers? Catch the guy who did this to you and your brother?â Her eyes were soft, warm like his motherâs, but they couldnât convince of this.
How do you tell a civilian that the âguyâ who did this was a pack of demons? âNo, Iâm still... I think Iâm in shock. I-â he grasped the edge of the bed as a spasm of pain ripped through him, the swelling of the ankle doing little to go down. âMy ankle is killing me, any chance we can X-ray it?â
She rolled the stool down by his foot, carefully taking his shoe off, followed by his sock. âYeah, I donât think you need an X-ray, Sam,â she clicked her tongue as they both looked down to see the bone in his foot peeking out through the skin. âBut youâll need surgery. Iâm going to book an OR right now and our top ortho surgeron will work on your foot as I finish your side, okay?â He nodded, watching her stand to rip off her gloves. âIâm going to find nurse Elliot to let him know, and Iâll see about an update on your brother, okay?â
Sam nodded, trying to focus on the pattern of the privacy curtains instead of the pain ripping him in half.
He didnât notice the demons at first, neither did Dean, but he was the first to be thrown through the window. It should have been just a simply salt and burn, shouldnât have taken more than a day, but they werenât lucky. It turned into a shit show really quickly, and Sam had carried Dean to the ER on sheer adrenaline alone after a demon crashed the impala into his older brother, totalling the car and fracturing so many bones in Dean, Sam was surprised he didnât lodge one of them into an organ on their twenty minute hobble.
Dean had gone into surgery twenty six and a half minutes ago. And now that the adrenaline had worn off and Sam realized heâd also broken his own foot, he was going in too. And he was scared. It wasnât normal for dean to need surgery, not been something heâd had to wait through for a long, long time, and now he needed it too? At the same time, no less. No, Sam Winchester wasnât scared - he was terrified.
But he nodded along to everything the nurses said, signed the waiver, and let the anesthesiologist hook him up to an IV, dread sitting low in his stomach as he was wheeled to the OR. He only hoped he would wake up as soon as his mom got there, as soon as Dean would.
ââââââââââ-
âHow is he?â
âStable. Nurse said he should wake up in the next few minutes.â
Sam knew those voices, even as muffled as they were, but he couldnât... place them. Still, they chattered on.
âHowâs Dean?â
Dean....
âGood. Doctor said heâs lucky to be alive, but heâs awake and demanding I wheel him over here. But heâs still really groggy and high from the pain meds, so letâs wait.â A soft hand ran through his hair, the smell of the soap heâd grown fond of for the past year and a half.
His eyes opened slowly, a breath filling his lungs with the soft floral spice. âMom?â
âSam!â Her face swam into focus as he blinked up at her. Bags hung below her eyes, crinkled around the edges in a tight smile. âYou scared the shit outta me! You two went in there, no backup, no nothing? Itâs not like you. I knew something was wrong when you didnât call me back last night.â
She looked exhausted, and Sam felt guilty about it. But he simply smiled softly back at her, thankful she was by his side. âSorry, Mom. Wonât happen again. Dean-â
âHeâs fine. Doctorâs patched him up and heâs going to go stir crazy because heâll be bed bound for a few weeks, but heâll live.â
Before she could finish her thought, nurse Elliot popped his head into their room. âSorry to break up the reunion here, but Mrs. Baker? Thereâs some insurance forms I still need you to fill out.â
Mary nodded, turning to kiss Sam on the forehead before leaving. âIâll be back, okay?â
Sam nodded, letting her go. The door barely closed before he felt the bed dip on his other side. Startled, he turned his head just in time to see Gabriel curl up against him, face just inches from his own. âIâm so angry with you.â
âYeah?â He cocked an eyebrow, waiting to feel the full brunt of the ex-archangelâs fury.
Gabriel nodded. His face didnât show anger, though, in fact, it was twisted more in pain than any other emotion Sam could have anticipated itâd be. âWe were supposed to have a date night, and instead you go on a hunt with Dean without backup. How am I supposed to handle that, hmm? You didnât even tell me ahead of time. You just.... you text me from a gas station a state away, saying âsorry. Change of plans.â Like-â he scoffs, frustrated and ready to cry. âThe next call I get is from a nurse saying theyâre wheeling you into surgery. Do you know how messed up that is? You canât even call me yourself to cancel date night, you have to have a nurse do it for you.â
âIâm sorry.â
âYeah, whatever.â
Sam reaches up with both hands, cupping Gabrielâs face and forcing him to look at the man. âIt was messed up how I handled it. I let Dean rope me into the hunt because I knew if I didnât heâd go alone, and I didnât call you because I knew youâd try to either tag along or convince me to stay behind. Iâm struggling trying to please both of you, and Iâm coming up short, here. Our relationship is suffering because of my choices, and Iâm so unbelievably sorry, Gabe. Iâm going to try harder. Iâm also going to try to find someone to be Dea: backup when I canât be.â He rubbed his thumb under Gabeâs left eye, a secretly favourite spot of Gabeâs he likes Sam touching he doesnât think Sam knows about. âI have to compromise here for us, and I donât know why I havenât been willing to when it comes to Dean.â
Gabriel shrugged. âCuz youâre both too codependent.â
Sam sighed, nodding. âYeah, yeah, yeah. I know.â He knew Gabriel was right, they all did, but the man still had some pride to keep. âTruce? Iâll make it up to you. We can have date night tomorrow.â
Gabriel laughed, a wet chuckle bubbling up from his throat. âOh, no, babe. The doctor wants you in bed rest too. Weâre going to have to put date night on hold for a while.â
Sam pouted, but nodded anyways. Far be it from him to keep Gabriel from doting on him for a change. And dote Gabriel did every single time Sam got injured or sick. Three months ago it was from a twisted ankle, and a week after that it had been the flu. Both timeâs Gabriel went all out in the best human ways he could in order to make Sam feel pampered beyond words.
Gabriel nodded, curling alongside Sam and kissing him softly. âBut only if I get to choose what documentary we watch. Iâm not watching that coin one anymore. Itâs coins. I know how they work. I have common cents.â
âStop.â
âWhy? Iâm being the change I want to see in this world.â
âGabriel.â
âCome on, you know you love me.â
Sam let out a soft smile at the worlds, having only admitted them to his boyfriend just a few weeks ago. Three years. Three years and heâd finally admitted it. âYeah, I guess I do, Huh?â
Gabriel smiled widely, kissing him softly again. âWhen we get home, Iâm getting you a maternity pillow. Your mom said itâll help you sit upright so you donât put strain on your stitches. We already have Jack and Cas out buying other stuff for you guys. Got a thick foam pillow to elevate your broken foot. And I also got us an HBO Go account so you can binge watch your shows. And soup. You like tomato and rice, right?â
Sam hummed in agreement, already enjoying the prospect at all of that. âCan we just lay here for a bit, first? We can get into the rest later. Just.... hold me? And maybe-â
âRun my fingers through your hair? You got it.â
By the time that Mary had finished the last form, Sam had fallen asleep again, but this time, it was from his boyfriendâs warmth.

You know how Orannis comments on how watered down the bloodlines/the Shiners are by the end of Abhorsen?
That just means there are more people out there who are capable of taking on the duties carried out by the rulers, Clayr and Abhorsen.
Of course, the Clayr are the most restricted in terms of who can claim that heritage - seeing as the Sight is such a huge part of their culture, to the point where those without the Sight arenât accepted as part of their society - but theyâve got to have male kids, right? And those are sent away from the Glacier, Iâm assuming since it wasnât really touched on in the books (or if it was, I missed it).
Imagine genetics playing out somewhere so that you see the emergence of others who display similar gifts and choose not to be Clayr - we see it with Clariel, and Sameth - with Clariel showing both the berserker rage linked with the Royal line, and the ability to sense death from her Abhorsen parentage, and Sam, whose interests and abilities allow him to take on the mantle of Wallmaker.
Itâs not like the Abhorsens didnât have kids or extended family, and depending on the rise and fall of their fortunes, itâs not hard to believe at least some of them were integrated into common society.
Now imagine this: those with weaker versions of certain abilities - the death sense, or foresight - who learn to use those abilities, whether they pass it off as intuition, instinct, or something different - all going on and living their own lives in their worlds. Scavengers who stay ahead of others because they feel a vague sense of unease in an area, and leave before encountering any of the Dead, people who always, always know whether a gloomy sky will mean rain, people who pretend to be charlatans - plying their trade with âsignsâ and portentsâ, repairmen who have that little extra something, detectives who can sometimes suddenly get a clear flash of insight, those who choose to ignore their abilities altogether.
Imagine all that, and think. If Orannis is ever dug up again - if there were groups of such people standing for each bell.
We're considering holding a mini Sabriel Week some time soon because many people have expressed interest/the tracked tag for the ship has been somewhat lacking recently. Just something for everyone to keep in mind!
It'll be a good way to generate some more Sabriel fanworks and possibly celebrate the posting of the minibangs, which is coming up soon.
It wasn't like Sam actually hated himself. He just...didn't think he was good enough for Gabriel. ...okay, maybe that counted as hating himself a little bit.
But really, why would an archangel ever choose him? Gabriel had had so many lovers in the past - Kali, Sigyn, and God knew who else - and he chose the boy with the demon blood as his next conquest?
Sam didn't understand. He was polluted and tainted, and he didn't deserve to have an archangel currently in his lap, who'd suddenly paused in the middle of whatever rant he was on now and staring at Sam in horror.
Wait...shit. Damn mind-reading archangels.
Gabriel twisted quickly in Sam's lap, eyes wide and hurt. "Sam, you don't honestly think that, do you?"
Sam flushed, dropping his gaze. "No idea what you mean," he denied without hesitation.
"Don't lie to me, I can hear it in that Cro-Magnon head of yours." Gabriel's eyebrows furrowed. "Why the hell do you think you're not good enough for me?"
Sam sputtered for a few moments, but decided to remain silent. If Gabriel could really hear his thoughts, then he would know why.
"Aw, Sammy, no," Gabriel said quietly at last, his voice cracking and drawing Sam's attention back to his face. To his shock, Gabriel's eyes were soft and fixed on his face. "It's me who's not good enough for you, you stupid moose. You-" His hands fluttered helplessly around Sam's shoulders for a few moments before grasping on tightly. "You have to believe me on that, Sam. You are good. Far too good for me, and I have no idea why you're still here, but you are and I'm just...I'm glad."
Sam stared at him, gaping in shock.
"Please say something," Gabriel said at last, biting his lip anxiously.
Sam shook his head mutely - he didn't trust his own voice - before leaning down to press his lips against Gabriel's. Neither of them acknowledged the salty tears that streaked down Sam's face.
Supernatural Fanfiction - Body Shots (Sabriel, Sam WinchesterxGabriel)
Here's another cross-post from my AO3 account in honor of Sabriel week. A small contribution of smut. Shameless smut really.
Author: Aria_Lerendeair
Title: Body Shots
Word Count: 4,718
Rating: Explicit
Pairing: Sabriel, SamxGabe
Summary: Gabriel thinks Sam's been working too hard, so he takes him out to relax and do something he has always wanted to.
He knew he was going to regret letting Gabriel bring him out. Â He was pretty sure this version of âOutâ wasnât even in the United States, let alone Nebraska. Â âWhere the hell are we?â Â Sam shouted into Gabrielâs ear as they were immediately pressed together by a large sea of bodies, the crowd preventing him from hearing Gabrielâs answer. Â
âIâm not dressed for clubbing Gabriel!â Â Not to mention he hadnât been clubbing since Stanford. Â He was far too old for it. Â So was Gabriel for that matter. Â
Gabriel raised his fingers and snapped, keeping his eyes on Sam. Â âThere!â Â
Sam looked down at his outfit and spared a moment to mourn his flannel and t-shirt. Â And his second-best pair of jeans. Â Instead he was poured into a pair of leather pants and nothing more than a thin leather vest that was left open, leaving his torso on display. Â He winced. Â âHow about something slightly less revealing?â Â
Gabriel rolled his eyes, but obediently raised his fingers and snapped once more. Â âPicky picky!â Â He would have to see what it would take to get Sam to stay in an outfit like that. Â Probably a lot more privacy. Â
He relaxed a fraction as his outfit changed again. Â Black jeans, combat boots and a white button up shirt that was halfway undone. Â This he could deal with. Â Sam undid the buttons at his cuffs and rolled them up, turning with his hands on his hips to Gabriel. Â âWhy are we here?â
âYouâre relaxing after a tough case, remember Sasquatch?â Â Gabriel had changed his own outfit, similar to Samâs, but heâd kept the leather pants and had a black button up on instead. Â âBesides, this is the biggest gay club in Cancun! Â Relax, and letâs live a little!â
If Gabriel ever found out that he thought it was impossible to say no when the angel smiled at him like that, he would be fucked. Â In more than one way. âWhat did you have in mind?â Â
He debated between the bar and the dance floor for only a moment before he started to drag Sam towards the mass of writhing bodies. Â Time to see if the Sasquatch could dance. Â
Sam would be lying if he said he didnât want to dance with Gabriel. Â Hell, if the parties he described with Thor and Bacchus were half true, then he was in for one hell of a night. Â The mood of the club, the anonymity it offered was heady. Â The music was deep and heavy, the floor vibrating with the bass. Â
He dragged them to one of the more shadowed pieces of the dance floor and turned to face Sam. Â Fuck, the kid was gorgeous with his shirt half-unbuttoned like that. Â Throwing himself into the music, Gabriel spun and pressed his back against Sam, rocking his hips in time to the music. Â He was a little short (damn Sasquatch and his ridiculous height) for an ideal dancing position where he could get Sam hot, bothered and horny. Â Easily fixed with a thought though. Â
A moment later, Gabriel felt Samâs arms come around him as his hips bucked forward to grind back. Â Perfect. Â Now he had Sam exactly where he wanted him. Â
It was one thing to be sleeping with an archangel and totally another to have proof of that right in front of him. Â When Gabriel suddenly went from âtoo-short-to-grind-against-properlyâ to âfucking-perfect-grinding-heightâ Sam got so hard so fast his head spun. Â Holy fuck. Â He leaned down to growl in Gabrielâs ear. Â âDid you just fuck with your height?â Â
Gabriel chuckled. Â Observant little Sam. Â He tilted his head to breathe against Samâs neck. Â âYeah. Â Wanted to feel you against me properly. Â Donât worry, itâs not permanent.â Â He rocked his hips back against Sam to emphasize the reason heâd done it and groaned. Â Fuck, kid was hard already. Â
Sam groaned. Fuck. Damnit, this wasnât even fair. Gabriel rocked them to the music, intent on driving him absolutely wild. He shuddered and pulled Gabriel closer, his hands curling over Gabrielâs hips. There was nothing more he could do, he simply had to go along with it. He rarely regretted letting Gabriel pull him into something like this. That and there was the promise of some truly spectacular sex to go along with this.
He turned and wrapped his arms around Samâs shoulders, made easier thanks to the little boost in height that he had given himself. Gabriel smirked. Samâs eyes were dark and they promised payback tonight. Very, very creative payback that he was likely to enjoy thoroughly. After he had had his fun. He tugged Samâs head down, tugging on his floppy, ridiculous hair. Samâs groan against his neck made him shiver. Kid had so many erogenous zones, heâd practically been built for sex.
âI love that pulling your hair turns you into an aroused mess.â Gabriel purred into Samâs ear, pressing tightly against him as he tugged on said hair again. He was rewarded with a proper moan this time and a buck of Samâs hips into his. âI love that every single person in this club is jealous of me.â He paused and felt Samâs breathing go even more ragged.
âBut you know what I love the most?â His arms tightening on Samâs shoulders was all the warning he gave the hunter before he jumped and wrapped his legs around the hunterâs waist, feeling Sam go rigid under him. âI love that for every single second I tease you, that you will give it right back to me. And then some.â Gabriel chuckled. âI pull your pigtails and you pull mine back.â
Sam shifted so he could get his hands on Gabrielâs ass and pull him closer. It did work to his advantage that Gabriel had a serious size kink and loved being manhandled, the fucking he did with his height aside. âFuck I am going to so make you pay for this.â Sam growled, squeezing Gabriel slowly, savoring the gasp the archangel let out.
Gabriel let out a hoarse chuckle and rolled his hips, grinding against Samâs stomach. Six feet four inches of pure muscle was ready to pin him to the nearest wall and fuck him silly. Not that heâd complain, but he did have something else that he wanted to do first.
âDamnit Gabriel, are you trying to make me fuck you right here?â His breath left him in a harsh pant as the angel rocked against him again, any illusion they had had of dancing was long gone. He was seconds from fucking Gabriel here on the floor.
âWhy, is your famed control that close to breaking?â Gabriel teased. He groaned when one of Samâs hands left his ass to tangle in his hair. He was yanked into a desperate kiss, Sam trying to either devour him or kiss him, he couldnât seem decide which. He pressed tight against his Sam. âYou wanna fuck me right here kid? You could, we wouldnât be noticed, but frankly, I wanna make you wait.â
He groaned. Of course Gabriel wanted him to wait. âWhy?!â
Gabriel laughed. God he fucking loved the kid when he was desperate. Desperate and begging to fuck him.
Should he tell Sam what he wanted to do? Would it send the kid running? âTell you what.â He purred into Samâs ear, feeling him groan again. âIâll let you take me out of here and fuck me, hard, fast and vicious, like I know you want to-â Gabriel shivered when Samâs hands tightened on him and the breath left the hunter in a rush. â-if and only if you let me do something Iâve wanted to do since I met you.â
Sam pressed their foreheads together and groaned. âWhich is what?â
âBody shots off of you.â
Sleeping with an archangel who had paraded around as a pagan god had made him lose most of his shyness, but Sam turned bright red. Hell, up until thirty seconds ago, he would have said that he had lost all of his shyness. âWhat?!â
âSpecifically tequila. You would taste delicious with some tequila on you.â Gabriel smirked and then licked his lips. âLet me do it and Iâll let you fuck me into next week.â
Sam swallowed and tried to find his footing again. âYouâd let me do that anyways.â
Gabriel laughed. This was what he loved about Sam. Even turned on, the kid had a head on him and wasnât afraid to bite back. âYouâre right. I would. But I could also keep you here make you come in your pants and make sure you DONâT fuck me to tonight.â It was honestly a pretty weak threat, but it just had to be believable. Thatâs all. By the way Sam groaned? He had achieved that.
âI am not laying down on the damn bar.â Sam insisted as Gabriel tugged him off of the dance floor. Fuck, what was he thinking?
âOh yes you are!â Gabriel squeezed Samâs hand, already salivating at the idea. All of that beautiful skin laid on display, not only for him, but for everyone else, so they could envy what he had? The idea sent a delicious shiver up his spine. Oh, heâd make sure to give them a show they would never forget.
Sam watched as Gabriel called the bartender over and passed over a few hundreds. He shook his head. Impossible archangel. He flushed when the bartender eyed him and then proceeded to clear eight seats at the bar by doing nothing more than point at him and declare âBody shots off giant hottie.â Theyâd also gathered a crowd. He squirmed. Fuck. Gabriel reappeared in front of him a moment later, holding out a shot glass.
âWhat is this?â
Gabriel raised the glass and the bright red liquid inside. âLetâs just say itâs a present from Asgard and you wonât need to drink anything else tonight. Happy buzz level only though, I promise. I do NOT want you impaired tonight.â
What was it about his life that it was the impairment comment that sold him on the fact that the drink was safe to have? Gabriel certainly wanted a good fucking tonight. Those pants were proof enough. Sam took the glass from Gabriel and knocked it back. The buzz hit him almost immediately with zero burn. Holy FUCK.
He burst into laughter at Samâs reaction. One of these days he would have to get Castiel drunk on this stuff just to see how Dean would react. It would be worth it. Especially since Sam was looking at him like he was dinner and desert all rolled into one. Uninhibited, yet completely coherent Sam? Thank you Asgard!
âGabriel, what the fuck did I just drink?â Sam didnât feel drunk. He felt like he could do anything he wanted. Like pin Gabriel to the bar and fuck him. Hard.
âAsgardian Mead. My own personal stash. Good stuff, right?â
There was nothing Sam could do but nod. Holy. Shit. He looked down at his shirt and started to unbutton it. The crowd cheered and Sam felt himself grin. Well, if Gabriel wanted a show...
Gabriel had expected to have to do more convincing, even with the booze currently working through Samâs system. Then Sam started to unbutton his shirt. Hazel eyes that had gone down suddenly grabbed his. He watched Sam start to sway, dancing to the music as he slowly undid the buttons on his shirt. In only a moment, that glorious torso was on display. He wanted to bite and devour every single piece of it.
âTo the bar!â Sam laughed when the crowd cheered. He moved past Gabriel, taking advantage of the crowd to rub against him as he stopped in front of the row of seats. Placing both of his palms on the bar, he lifted himself up, sitting on the edge for a moment before laying back, tucking his hands behind his head to make sure he was appropriately on display for Gabriel.
He was about to say fuck doing the body shots and just fuck HIM, but damn if he was going to stop now that he had come this far. âHoly shit kid.â
Sam laughed and wiggled his hips, hearing the crowd cheer again. The bartender was shaking his head, but lining up shots for Gabriel. Ten glasses were placed in a row next to his thigh. He watched her pour the tequila and then look to Gabriel, holding out a salt shaker and container of limes.
âNah, save the fruit for the fruity drinks. I like the bite-â Gabriel watched Sam flush when their eyes met. âof the tequila.â
âNo problem honey. Enjoy.â
Gabriel smirked and looked down at Sam, his chest moving with short breaths. âOh. I intend to.â
Sam bit his lip to keep from moaning. Fuck. Gabriel had that look in his eyes. The look that usually meant he was going to be the one fucked into next week. He wanted it, wanted anything. âGabriel-â
âNow now Sam. I have to do the introductions.â Gabriel turned back to the crowd. âAll right, Iâve got a ten shot limit-â He heard Sam snort behind him and grinned. â-so weâll keep this nice and long so you all get a proper show.â A roar of approval from the crowd that had gathered. Even the other bartenders had come over to watch the show.
âAny bare skin is perfectly acceptable for salting.â He turned and looked at Sam again, his eyes purposefully lingering below the belt, watching the hunter flush again. âSadly. However! None of you are allowed to yell if I wander a bit. He is tasty.â Gabriel winked at the crowd and turned back to Sam.
Heâd known that Gabriel was a showman through and through. Sam knew it. Mystery Spot was proof. He loved an audience. And he had the feeling that were about to get one hell of a show.
Gabriel was not one to hesitate. Ever. Even with Sam Winchester laid out like a buffet in front of him. He grinned a bit ruefully. If he was honest, he was hesitating because he didnât know where to start. What would get him the most shock value? A moment later, his eyes lit up with an idea. He looked up at Sam, holding up a finger in caution. âDonât. Move.â
He picked up a shot glass, filled with delicious clear tequila and placed it in the small indent of Samâs belly button. Samâs whole body was tense, strung tight with the effort of keeping the glass in place. âPerfect.â
He was so fucking screwed. Gabriel hadnât even touched him and he was practically panting. He stared as the angelâs eyes swept over his body again, coming to a stop right along his breastbone. He relaxed a fraction. That was a usual spot for a body shot. He waited for the moment when Gabrielâs hot wet tongue would drag along his skin. Just the thought had goosebumps breaking across his skin.
When it came, it certainly wasnât where he was expecting it. Sam cried out, only just remembering to keep himself still as Gabriel sucked his left nipple into his mouth before teasing it with his tongue. âFuck, Gabriel!â
That was SO much better than heâd predicted. Gabriel pulled his mouth away from Samâs skin, which was far harder than it should have been honestly, before he tipped a generous amount of salt onto the wet skin. There were screams of approval behind them, and even the bartenders looked impressed. Yep. This gorgeous, fucking infuriating Sasquatch was all HIS.
âReady kiddo?â He smirked up at Sam and watched him nod.
The trick to body shots was to do them quickly enough so the liqueur didnât hit you. Gabriel was thankful he didnât have that problem, because he wanted to savor every single second of Sam spread out on the bar. He bent down, grabbed the shot glass with his teeth and knocked it back, tossing it behind him towards the crowd before he licked up the salt he had left.
Sam was ready for it this time, but even still, then rough drag of Gabrielâs tongue, then the hot sucking motion of his mouth was enough to have him moaning. Loudly. And remembering that he was on display for anyone at the bar who wanted to look. Gabriel didnât even bother to lift his head, just moved on to his other nipple, giving it the same treatment as the first. Sam tightened his fingers in his hair as he remembered that he couldnât reach down and yank Gabrielâs head closer. Two shots down. Eight left. He was not going to survive this.
Gabriel licked his lips again, staring down at Sam. The hunter hadnât realized that his erection was clearly visible to anyone who wanted to admire. Probably a good thing. He couldnât help but be smug that Sam was this turned on from a little teasing. Speaking of teasing...
âReady for your third shot Sam?â He taunted, placing the glass in his belly button again. Fucking gorgeous skin, and he knew exactly what he was going to do for the rest of the shots. He had a plan of attack. âThink Iâm gonna make my own version of a happy trail.â He had a moment to watch Samâs eyes go wide before he licked a slow stripe up from just above Samâs jeans to his belly button.
Fucking hell, how was he supposed to keep still when Gabriel did shit like that? Sam panted, trying to draw in air without his stomach moving to make sure the shot glass there didnât fall. He felt the salt being sprinkled onto his skin again and stared as Gabriel downed the shot, looking like he had done it a hundred times before that tongue was on him again. âFuck!â This time, Sam couldnât keep his hips still and they bucked up. He whined when Gabriel pulled away and gave him a dark lust-filled look.
âBehave.â
The order, because Sam could tell it had been one, made him shiver. Fucking archangels and their power trips. He wouldnât survive seven more of these. He licked his lips, enjoying the way Gabrielâs eyes latched onto his lips and stayed there.
He was going to make the brat pay for that one. And he knew exactly how. But it involved him burning through the next six shots in quick succession. Gabriel leaned down and trailed his fingers over Samâs six-pack. Hm. Six and six. Perfect. He leaned down and licked. Long and slow, unlike the kitten licks from earlier. Sam was groaning under him, his hips rocking upwards towards air as he got Sam ready. Pulling back, he admired the glistening skin before he added the salt.
Oh god, he was going to kill Gabriel. Slowly. Painfully. With sex. Lots and lots and lots of sex. On every fucking surface he could find. This was torture. He couldnât do anything, he was on display for dozens of strangers, turned on, and being slowly taken to pieces by his archangel. Fuck it just wasnât fair. He licked his lips again, blinking when golden eyes snapped to him. Gabriel seemed unable to look away.
He could use this to his advantage. Do a little teasing back. âCome on Gabriel. One shot for each. I see what you did. Do it. Wouldnât want me to get bored now, would you?â
Look at the little Winchester thinking he can play with a centuries-old pagan god. Gabriel smirked and knocked back the first shot, licking up the salt quickly. Instead of moving onto the next shot, he bit down on the soft skin, sucking it into his mouth until there was a very obvious hickey there. Samâs skin jumped under him, but he held perfectly still while Gabriel repeated the attack five more times. See how the Sasquatch like that.
Sam was reasonably sure the back of his head would be bald by the end of this, considering how hard he was gripping his hair at the moment. Instead he took a shaky breath and looked up at Gabriel. âOne shot left. What do you want to do?â Other than me. The small quirk of Gabrielâs lips told him that the angel understood exactly what he was asking.
He already knew. He picked up the last shot and put it next to Samâs head. âLips together.â Gabriel instructed, pleased when Sam complied. He jumped up onto the bar, aware of the screaming behind him, his knees on either side of Samâs waist. âStay still Sammy. I still gotta set up the salt.â
Enjoying the sight of Samâs wide eyes, Gabriel leaned down until their lips were almost touching. He licked slowly across Samâs lips, able to feel the groan in his chest that it invoked. Gabriel licked over and over again until Sam was shivering, his hips bucking up into air. He held up the shot to the cheer of the crowd and met Samâs eyes as he downed the shot and leaned down to lick the salt off of Samâs lips.
He wasnât going to let Gabriel get away with just teasing this time. Sam removed one of his hands from his hair and tangled it into Gabrielâs, turning the licking into a filthy kiss. He chased the taste of the tequila and salt into Gabrielâs mouth, devouring him, pulling him closer.
âWell kiddos, I think thatâs our cue!â Gabriel panted, separating his mouth from Samâs only for a moment before he raised his hand and snapped. They disappeared from the bar and landed in their bed. Gabriel dove into another kiss with Sam, please that in a moment, one hand was at the small of his back and the other on his ass. Fuck he loved the kids hands. Hand-fetish and all.
Sam didnât bother trying to unbutton Gabrielâs shirt. When they broke away from the desperate kiss, he grabbed both ends of the shirt and ripped it open, exposing Gabriel to him at last. âNext time, you do the fucking body shots.â Sam snarled, flipping them over and pinning Gabriel to the bed. âGot it?â He yanked the rest of the shirt off of Gabriel, tossing it to the side. âAnd get rid of the pants, Iâm not gonna spend ten minutes peeling leather off of you.â
Gabriel felt a thrill race up his spine. Sam was desperate for him. Needed to fuck him. Hard. He disappeared the pants with a thought, not bothering to snap when his hands could be on Sam instead. âKeep the shirt on. You look fucking ridiculously hot like this.â
âWant me to keep the jeans on too?â Sam said with a harsh laugh, running his fingers through his hair as he looked for the bedside table before reaching out and grabbing the lube.
His breath left him in a rush. âFuck yes.â
Sam looked up in surprise. Heâd meant that as more of a joke, but looking at Gabriel, with blown pupils and his breath coming in pants, clearly it was something the angel liked the idea of. He smirked. âYou like the idea of that Gabriel? That Iâm so desperate for you, to fuck you as promised that I couldnât even get my clothes off?â
Gabriel moaned and spread his legs. âYes, fuck, yes!â He reached out to touch Sam again, his fingers creeping under the shirt to grasp and pull Sam closer to him. He stretched to be able to pant into Samâs ear. âDonât bother prepping me kiddo. Just get that frankly gorgeous cock of yours in me now.â
He ripped his jeans open, shoving them down just far enough that he would be able to fuck Gabriel. Sam spread Gabrielâs legs further, making the angel stretch for him. âYou got it.â He squirted lube out into his hand and coated himself quickly before yanking Gabriel back towards him.
âDo it kid!â Gabriel rolled his hips, growling as he yanked Sam closer. âFuck me! Iâm not human, you canât hurt me, so hurry up and fuck me!â
He hadnât needed the reminder. He really hadnât. But even with Jess, and Ruby most of the time, heâd always had to hold a small part of himself back, aware that his brute strength really would hurt someone. With Gabriel, there was no problem.
âSam!â Gabriel snarled.
Sam snapped his hips forward and drove into Gabriel in one smooth thrust.
Gabrielâs back bowed off the bed and he moaned. He could feel Samâs jeans against his inner thighs, the fabric reminding him of how desperate Sam had been. âYes! More!â
Fucking archangels, always trying to egg him on. âFine, you wanna be fucked Gabriel? Iâll fuck you!â Sam growled, snapping his hips back before burying himself right back inside the angel. âInto next week as fucking promised.â It was a relief to be able to forget about his strength. Gabriel knew that, got off on it. That he was the only one who could give Sam this.
âYes, fuck, Sam, Fuck, so good. Harder.â Gabriel ordered, shuddering when Samâs hands came down on his upper arms and held him to the bed as that glorious cock filled him over and over again. Normally it took much more goading to get Sam to really give to him, but a combination of the Asgardian Mead, teasing and body shots had turned Sam into exactly what Gabriel loved. HIS.
âYou always have to fucking push, donât you!â Sam snarled again, tightening his grip on Gabrielâs arms. Anyone else, theyâd be shouting in pain. Not the archangel. Those golden eyes stared at him, wanting it, wanting all of him. Ordering him to give it to him. Because no one else could take it.
He chuckled and then let out a strangled shout as Sam shifted his angle and his cock was suddenly dragging across his prostate. The rough material of the jeans would have chaffed anyone else, but it was just an added sensation, one more thing that made this perfect and all his. âYes, fuck, Sam!â Gabriel moved his hands to Samâs hair and pulled him down for a kiss. Samâs thrusts were losing their steady rhythm, becoming far harsher and more desperate.
Sam threw himself into the kiss, swept away, drowning in Gabriel. That hot little tongue and mouth had been teasing him all evening. He pulled away just far enough to stare at Gabriel. Fucking gorgeous bastard, his lips glistening and red, golden eyes almost swallowed by pupils and sweat beading at his forehead. He took one of his hands from Gabrielâs arm and wrapped it around his cock.
Fucking Sasquatch knew all of his weaknesses. Those hands wrapped around his cock, nothing felt better. He threw his head back, a loud whine escaping him. âSam, Sam please.â
âGonna come for me you teasing bastard?â Sam growled, stroking Gabriel hard and fast, teasing his thumb across the tip. âThis is what you get, fucking licking every inch of me. Come. Do it. Scream for me Gabriel.â
That was one order he would be more than happy to obey. He arched, his Grace almost threatening to burst from his vessel as he screamed Samâs name through his orgasm. Fucking kid milked him through all of it until his dick was seriously starting to consider round two.
Sam licked off his hand, turning a dark look to Gabriel. âSweet as always.â He licked his lips again and moved both of his hands to Gabrielâs hips. The angel was relaxed and pliant under him. He lifted the angel and shifted the angle until the friction was right where he needed, resuming the brutal pace he had maintained, sinking into Gabrielâs head, his orgasm so close, so fucking close and he just needed-
âSam.â
He shuddered and felt the coil spring free. That. Gabrielâs voice, debauched, adoring, but most of all? Ordering him to. Fuck. His orgasm rushed through him like a fucking tidal wave as he shook above Gabriel, staying buried inside him until he could pull out and collapse next to the angel. His clothes were thankfully gone. Fuck, he was going to sleep for the next ten years.
âTold you you needed to relax.â
Sam groaned and hid his face in a pillow. Fucking archangels.

"I hate this movie," Gabriel grumbled as Sam flicked on the television.
"You could've said before we picked it," Sam pointed out, rolling his eyes, and Gabriel subsided into more muttered protests and insults of the movie's main character as the opening scene began.
"Figures you'd like this movie, nerdy as you are," he said at last when he saw how focused on the movie Sam was minutes later.
Sam scowled back at him. "If you're gonna just keep insulting me and the movie, I'm gonna stop it right now and movie night's over."
Gabriel obediently fell silent, even though he still looked sulky. When he saw Sam's own disgruntled expression, though, he quietly tucked himself beneath Sam's arm, nuzzling into his side. "Love you, Samsquatch," he mumbled against Sam's shirt.
Sam glanced down, briefly startled, before relaxing slightly, his lips tugging into a small smile. "I love you, too." He nudged Gabriel affectionately. "What's with you? You never say that out loud if you can help it."
Gabriel shrugged mildly. "Yeah, well. I guess it's time we changed that, right?"Â Sam's smile was blinding, telling him it was the right thing to say. "I'll try to be more patient with the movie," he added, scowling at the golden-haired man on the television screen. "Even if Thor's a total jackass."
Sam chuckled wryly, glancing at the screen. "Yeah, maybe we should've gotten Iron Man instead." He paused, frowning contemplatively. "So...did you really give birth to an eight-legged horse or-?"
Sam often dreamed of Lucifer and the Cage, even years after he'd been pulled out (both body and soul). The blue-tinged flames, icy cold despite their searing intensity, licked all around him as Lucifer stood in front of him, wearing a different face every time.
Sometimes it was Dean, telling him that he never believed in Sam, and that he was better off without his monster of a little brother. Sometimes it was Castiel, who quietly said in disgust, "Sam Winchester. The boy with the demon blood."Â Sometimes it was his father, telling him he was a traitor for leaving his family to go to college and that he was never a good son. And sometimes it was his mother, telling him that it was his fault she was dead even as her nightgown caught fire and she burned alive in front of him.
But the worst dreams were always of Gabriel. "You left me to die!" the archangel would scream at Sam, who flinched back. "You didn't even look back, did you?! I gave my life for you and you didn't even try to help me!"
Sam would wake up in a cold sweat, sometimes screaming, sometimes just shaking violently. Dean never noticed anymore, not since they'd gotten their own rooms in the bunker.
But everything changed when the angels fell.
Castiel showed up on the bunker's doorstep two days later, half-starved and exhausted and dirty, with an equally thin figure leaning heavily on him.
"Gabriel?!" Sam blurted out, stunned, and the smaller man lifted his head, familiar golden eyes shining brightly even as his mouth tugged into a tired smile.
"Heya, Sammich." He let go of Castiel, took one shaky step forward - and promptly toppled over as he passed out. Sam caught him even as Dean went to Castiel first, carrying him easily into his bedroom. He tried not to notice how light and tiny the former archangel seemed to be now.
Since he was still recovering from the trials, Sam found himself listing sideways until he was laying next to Gabriel. The last thing he felt before falling asleep was Gabriel shifting beside him, a small arm winding around his waist. A cool blue haze settled over the icy fires of Hell, dousing them almost instantly.
Sam didn't dream for the first time in a long while.
