It would’ve been so freaking funny if Maimai Onba had attended the party Sabame was throwing to welcome Hyakki and Dororo to his house.
Hyakki would’ve gone NOPE and just...wrecked the entire party (and the house) right there. He’s oddly good at crashing parties (I bet Bandai throws good parties).
I feel like that was the main reason why Maimai wasn’t a terribly important character in this adaptation. This Hyakki can see right through her immediately. Still kinda sad about it though.

Dororo - Episode 14:The Story of Sabame
Do They Get Eaten? - No, although an attempt to eat is made and the consumption of other humans is discussed. Dororo is grabbed by a giant baby-like monster, and it is implied that they will eat Dororo, though in a comedic way. Next, a child of the monster Maimai'Onba attempts to eat Hyakkimaru and Dororo, but Hyakkimaru stops it. Finally, the Maimai'Onba in her human form and Sabame discuss feeding their caterpillar-like monster children.
Because apparently canon isn't harsh enough so I needed to add to it by making more Dororo Silent Hill AU sketch dumps. So have some Jukai and baby Hyakki for like 12 seconds of prologue before it all goes to crap.
