Samsung Galaxy S7 Case Shockproof Case Review
Today we are reviewing a Galaxy S7 case. You can get it here
Chuck’s co-worker, who is also our landlord, upgraded his phone from a Galaxy S5 Active to the S7. Big upgrade. Because of their job, a shockproof case is a must have. He tried an otterbox, but felt it was too big and clunky, so he was on the lookout for a different case. I figured, let’s give this one a try.
Fit - The fit is perfect, the volume buttons and the power button line up properly. The opens at the bottom for the power cords, headphone ports are spot on. The opening on the back for the camera is in the right place.
Design - There is a snap off part on the case. Honestly I’m not sure what purpose it serves. I’m a fidgety person, so I had to pop it off and put it back on. In trying to put it back on, I can’t get one of the corners to go back together, which causes a slight bulge inside the case. The case does fit on the phone despite this, but makes it fit oddly. There is a raised lip around the screen part of the phone to help protect it when it falls, with the part that is fubared, the lip on the corner is not as pronounced, which makes me wonder if everything will be ok if he happens to drop it.
Misc - When we opened the case, there was a chemical plastic smell, but that went away within a day. The case does look nice and the parts that snap together correctly feel solid.
Because of the one corner that doesn’t snap back together properly, I can only give it a 3 star rating. He won’t intentionally drop his phone, but when the time comes and he does drop it, I’ll change my rating accordingly.
I did receive this for a discount in exchange for my review.
