Well, I'm not sure what sort of attention this is going to get now that Sbarg is officially finished, but I just want to say that we still have 15 days left on our indiegogo campaign Sbarg For Shelter Box.

Still pushing for sbarg for shelter box. We're still a long way off from our goal, but i still believe that we can do it.

Remember mekashiyu is still doing art perks for those who donate at least 15$ (You have to choose the perk in order to receive it)

Now when you donate to Sbarg for Shelter Box you can claim an artwork perk done by our very own mekashiyu.

It's been a slow couple of days for us, but here I am again, plugging Sbarg For Shelter Box

Make sure you check it out and, if you can, donate to our cause. Shelter Box International is a life saving organization that supplies survival items to those in need after a disaster.

100% of profits from this fundraiser will be going to Shelter Box Canada, regardless of how much or how little we raise, though our goal is to be able to purchase a full shelter box.

For the sbarg players out there, donating to our cause earns grist and with a daunting 5000 grist goal, why not help those who really need our help?

The minimum donation is 1$, though because of the amount of fees that get taken off at that level, we are suggesting a 3$ minimum. (It's not strictly set in stone, we're just trying to offset as much of the fees as possible)

Volunteers who may want to contribute art or a craft, please not that if you do wish to volunteer, you services will not be taken for granted. Don't feel like you have to complete an unlimited amount of work for donators who choose your perk. We can limit the number to any number you deem workable. So please consider helping out.

We're sitting at 34/1100 right now, so we still have a long way to go. I urge everyone to do what they can to help us. Whether that be donating, volunteering or simply reblogging this post and spreading the word around. Every thing helps and your efforts are so appreciated.

My name is Chelsea and together with my friends Sarah and Brady, we make up Team Asterism. We are players of an ARG on Tumblr called Sbarg. A lot of you seeing this page are very likely also Sbarg players.

What we are trying to do is raise enough funds to sponsor a shelter box! What that is, is a box of emergency supplies that can be used by a family of up to 10 people while they are displaced or homeless as the result of a disaster.

Each box contains:

A custom-designed disaster relief tent that can accommodate up to 10 people

Water containers and purification system

Stove and cooking utensils, pots, plates, cups, etc

Gloves and hats

Blankets, ground sheets, mosquito nets

Toolkit

Children’s activity pack

What We Need & What You Get

What we need is to raise is 1100$

This covers the total cost of sponsoring one shelter box (the cost of which is 1000$), plus offsetting the fees that will be incurred through indiegogo, paypal and the exchanging of currency. This is to make sure that we can sponsor 100% of the cost of a shelter box.

We’ve picked the flexible funding plan so that even if we don’t make our goal, 100% of donations (minus any fees charged by indiegogo, paypal and exchanging of currency) will still be able to be donated to help shelter box campaigns.

If we do reach our goal and go above and beyond it, 100% of extra donations will still go towards shelter box funding. For every 1000$ we raise, that’s 1 whole box!

Because we’re Sbarg players, if you are too then donating here and supporting our campaign is going to earn us grist while helping a very worthy cause!

The Impact

These boxes are delivered where ever aid is needed the most. Whether that be the site of an earthquake, a tsunami or a man-made disaster, ground teams respond and bring aid to those who have lost or are unable to reach their homes.

Shelter boxes have been deployed all over the world! So far this year boxes have been deployed to help those affected by floods in Louisiana, an earthquake in Italy, conflict in Sudan, drought in Somalia and many other places since the organization’s first recipient in 2001.

Other Ways You Can Help

If you can’t help by giving a monetary donation, that’s okay! Maybe you want to volunteer to do artwork or some other thing that we can add to our campaign as perks!

If you don’t want to or can’t volunteer, that’s okay too! Spread the word around! You don’t have to be a player to want to support people in need. Pass it around, maybe you know someone who is able to donate! Everything helps us and the more people know, the more we’re able to help!
