of all the characters in the little trashmaid, i feel like i relate to ricky on a personal level. he can be an arrogant and at-times douchey guy, with an easily-irritable demeanor. but he also chooses to spend time with a group that benefits him in more ways than he can think. plus he likes wearing darker colors with a hint of red and i really vibe with that.

i actually forgot ricky's birthday was 9/6 this year, so i whipped the drawing on the left up in around 10 minutes. the one on the right was done with more time, consideration, and made last year. and it was based on art that twitter user nuomihua did back when they were trashmaid-crazy.

The Little Trashmaid by s0s2 and Ponyo (2002) are both based off The Little Mermaid.

It’s on Webtoon, and it’s about a mermaid who collects trash, makes some friends on land, and experiences some goofs !! it’s really heartfelt, really my fav comic in a while & it’s meant to raise pollution awareness so please give it your attention!!

Got this in the mail today! Real nice to have an actual physical copy of the first part of this series. And it’s printed on recycled materials! It’s a really nice touch! 🥰
