Dany Vs Sansa
So after the first episode, it's clear that they will be pitted against each other, two of the strongest women of Westeros.
Now I for one have been a staunch supporter of Dany. The way she has fought her way from the bottom. Outliving her abusers as Tyrion said of Sansa. She faced resistance o each step, being called Foreigner overseas and here on mainland. Belonging nowhere and alone from family.
But s08ep01 made me question myself. Is she really that good tho? Yes she did fight her way up, but she did it with her dragons. She solved all her problems by setting them on fire. She sees a problem and she head butts straight into it. She refuses to see another view, another perspective. She burnt the tarlys when they refused to bend the knee, while she proclaimed she wanted to be a just queen. The entire *bend the knee* thing is screwed. She refused to aid Jon until he would bend the knee. She asks of submission from sansa. That she should respect Dany if not befriend her. Yes the world is ending and the titles don't matter but it works both ways. Dany shouldnt be asking for being called the queen and demanding respect when she hasnt done anything to earn respect.
She is the fucking mhysa, defender of helpless so why would she only help those who would defer to her.
And the entire arrogance abt her dragons. The way she bit into sansas bait of what dragons eat. It seemed like a really Savage moment from Dany but looking back Sansa showed the entire north that dragons are rogue and act on free will and can't be tamed.
Sansa seemed like a really anchored person on the show. With a clear head and determination to look out for the north and her family first and foremost. While Dany was more like riding on a high. Being a haughty teenager. Sansa looked through cersie scheme right away while the rest of them rode at cersies word. No contingency plan, no nothing.
Unpopular opinion but Sansa might be a better queen than Dany.
