A very human Aspgrim walked in through little Ida’s door, a package under his arm that he placed on the kitchen counter with a loud thunk to show his displeasure. “Why don’t you come to the shop like everyone else for your meat? You have me go all the way here for what?.” he scowled, displeased about having had to move so far away just to get here from the butcher shop. It wasn’t human flesh, sadly, it was from a pig and a chicken. also some ground beef. Did she eat it all herself? He didn’t know and he didn’t care. He only cared about the trek he had to take to get here
Ida had been sitting at the table with a cup of tea and the newspaper when Aspgrim barged in. She calmed sipped the tea before putting the cup down in its little saucer and folding the paper. “I am old, Asp. I don’t have the same energy like I used to have. Whine all you want, it doesn’t hurt you to do me this favor. And I do thank you for bringing me the meat.”
She got up from her chair and went to put some of the meat in the fridge, and the rest in the freezer. It would last her until the next delivery. “Now, what do I owe you, my boy?”
