An animated story about a cryptid with a big heart and even bigger questions, on a quest to discover their true origins!
I reblogged a post about this yesterday, but I figured I would make a brand new one to start talking about this!
S.A.L.E.M. is the brainchild of an absolutely astounding artist (Sincerely Sam) who is ambitious enough to undertake this astoundingly huge project. It already has some incredible voice talent signed up to voice the characters, all it needs is the money to produce the first episode! The team behind S.A.L.E.M. is running a Kickstarter campaign to try to fund the project, and I wanted to spread the word!
I highly encourage you to check out their website and see what this show is all about! It features a young cryptid (who goes by âthey/themâ pronouns!) who goes on a journey of self-discovery with their friends in tow!Â
I talk a lot about animation in general and the types of things that I wish I could see on TV. Often times, discussions of representation and inclusion come up. Having strong, fleshed-out characters that are not stereotypes, incorporating different gender identities within media... these are all important things that television should do. I am a huge believer that if we want to see change in the industry, we should support projects like this that are pushing for these amazing changes, taking modern day television in the direction that it needs to go.
It would mean the absolute world to me if you would check out the S.A.L.E.M. kickstarter and see what itâs all about! You donât have to back it if you donât have the means, but a like and a share would go a long way in trying to get this project the attention it deserves!
Letâs make S.A.L.E.M. happen!

S.A.L.E.M is a (hopefully) upcoming animated series by Samantha Sawyer! The story is about a young Cryptid named Salem (the adopted child of the Boogieman) and their journey to find out who they are!
