One thing I think people miss about Aang and Katara is that their relationship doesn't work because they're opposites

It works because they're exactly what the other person needs

Aang spent his entire life carrying impossible expectations

He was told he was the Avatar before he was ready

Lost his people

Lost his childhood

Had the weight of the world dropped on his shoulders at twelve years old

Katara is one of the only people in his life who consistently lets him just be Aang

Not the Avatar

Not the world's savior

Just Aang

She comforts him when he's scared

Laughs with him

Supports him when he doubts himself

And reminds him that he's still a person underneath all that responsibility

But people often stop there and forget what Aang does for Katara

Katara spent most of the series taking care of everyone else

Sokka

Aang

Toph

Appa

The group as a whole

She constantly puts other people's needs ahead of her own

Even when she's hurting

Aang is one of the few people who actively tries to take care of her too

He makes her laugh

Pulls her out of her stress

Encourages her to have fun

Believes in her completely

And reminds her that she doesn't always have to be the strong one

That's why so many of their scenes work

They're not just helping each other save the world

They're helping each other carry emotional burdens

Aang brings lightness into Katara's life

Katara brings stability into Aang's life

Aang helps Katara loosen her grip on the weight she's carrying

Katara helps Aang stay grounded when the weight of being the Avatar threatens to crush him

And what makes it even better is that their relationship is built on friendship first

They spend three seasons learning each other's fears

Dreams

Traumas

Strengths

By the time they get together they know each other better than almost anyone else in the world

Neither of them is trying to change the other

Katara doesn't want Aang to stop being optimistic

Aang doesn't want Katara to stop being compassionate

They love those things about each other

The relationship isn't built on drama

It's built on trust

Mutual admiration

Emotional support

And genuine affection

Honestly that's why it has lasted for so many fans

Not because it's perfect

i know there are so many people out there who don't think they can get out or don't realize how bad it is. and there are more options than homeless shelters (though, they are life-saving if you need them still).

UNO REVERSE!

A couple of random facts:

The reason people can't remember their names in this AU is because of Identity protection protocol. C&A would like to not deal with "data leaks" acusations, so they make it that while on circus grounds (waiting room included) information about you is locked tightly and encrypted in your brain. No one can access it (Not Abel, any stranger, C&A worker or even you).

Kinger cannot enter the circus, but can look into it as observer. He can also access logs, hence he tracked Caine's activation.

Abel is not aware of Caine obviously, he sees him running on the background as one of his wandering NPCs

Why Caine wouldn't just block Abel now? Simple - he is outdated. He needs to recieve an upgrade from Kinger, then install it, then Queenie plans to run a "check up" and only then try. Caine is an 20+ years old programm and he is extremely limited as he is right now. Like he can create things, but in small scale.
