they play runescape together. oldschool runescape. june kills all the enemies and handles all the hard parts of quests, rylan collects nice clothing and does all the grinding for materials and skills for the both of them (they trust eachother w their passwords <3)

they're married in the main timeline idc idc idc

the wedding was very small. just her, rylan, rylan's friends, and all of june's 128 family members

they played star wars music instead of here comes the bride. june's idea. she loves rylan very very much

they don't flirt really. june is very directly affectionate, and rylan can't flirt without stuttering and getting nervous, so

june gives him lots of headbumps. it's gotten to a point where all she has to do is tilt her head toward him and rylan ducks down to bump her head with his and nuzzle. honestly, they prefer it over kisses

she also bites. she bites hard. rylan has a few scars on his shoulders and hands from her biting him too hard on accident when she gets too playful and lovey. she feels bad about it, but rylan actually really likes them (makes him look a lil tougher + he carries his wife w him everywhere..)

they go on walks together pretty often, and hike at least once a month or so. they both like exploring a lot, and have their own "adventure journals" where they keep pressed flowers and leaves, notes on cool things they saw or did together, and cute little things the other did that made them happy..

rylan always comes back from them with at least one flower in his hair (june puts them there)

june likes to hide braids in rylan's hair. she never pins them, it's just something she likes to do whenever they're winding down, watching a tv show together, and his head is in her lap

sometimes rylan tries to braid her hair in the mornings or at night for her, but he's not very good at them... yet, june insists on wearing them out with pride

rylan does the household chores, june does the breadwinning 💪

she got him an apron that's very funny and also wildly inappropriate so he wears it backwards a lot

she gets them very silly and sometimes wildly inappropriate matching t-shirts all the time

rylan loves them (except when he remembers he has to go out grocery shopping and all his other clothes are dirty.) (one of june's cardigans it is, then!)

rylan always has a soft spot for june's nonsense

june works at an accounting firm. her office is very fun and they're all pretty close. the first time she took rylan to a christmas party, all her coworkers sat him down and quizzed him on her, pretending they were all her overprotective family members and making sure that he was a good fit for her (even though the two were already married). june just touches the heart of everyone she meets like that

rylan does a lot of the errand-running and cleaning around the house, even on the days june's working from home, or the days he works. he really doesn't mind it, and actually finds most of it kinda soothing- meditative almost (laundry and dishes are definitely his favourite)- but, june can't help feeling bad about it sometimes... so, every now and then she goes with him to go grocery shopping or helps with (non-chemical) cleaning jobs around the house

the reason isn't because june isn't capable of doing chores, but because she has chronic joint pain that gets worse with continuous strain and repetitive motion. and, even though she is medicated for it and it really doesn't bother her that much (unless it's cold uuugh), rylan gets really anxious about it regardless (his headcanons arent out yet, but he has health related anxiety). and if she's spending too much effort doing all this boring tedious stuff and ends up not having enough for the things she enjoys doing, well rylan feels really awful about that

so, they have their little compromises :]

always looking at each other with that "lover's gaze." rylan does something clumsy or gets so excited about something he's passionate about, and june's looking at him like she's abt to propose all over again. june does some naturally kind and sweet gesture for either a friend or a complete stranger or she's in a silly goofy mood, and rylan's staring at her with actual hearts in his eyes. this happens several times a day, every day

yes june proposed. no rylan didn't understand what she was doing at first. it was an extremely casual proposal
