the knights were starting to catch up but the others kept running, you stayed behind for ryuji. he told you to go with the others but you persisted, trying to help him back up on his feet.
you held him up by his shoulder and started to run, with him being pulled along with you. luckily you were able to turn that corner and make it into the safe room before the knights caught the two of you. it was an overall dangerous situation, but you couldnโt just leave him there.
you all sat down at the table in the dimly lit room trying to brainstorm some strategies. everyone was trying to stay as quiet as possible but their voices were raised.
ryuji got everyone to shut up once he snapped at you for helping him. he appeared frustrated, and felt like he was becoming a burden.
ann tried to butt in and tell him what he said was rude but akira pulled her back, telling her to stop.

he saw the look on your face. you were hurt by his words, the round tears began to form at the corner of your eyes. he screwed up.
both of his yellow leathered gloves went under your soft hands, clutching them tightly. you went to look up, his eyes wandered your face.
โIโll take it a little more easy on my knee, promise. but you have to be more careful, please?โ ryuji grazed your cheek with his hand, his eyes pleaded for your โokโ.
โok, Iโll be more careful but I wonโt stop looking out for you.โ ryuji was ecstatic to hear those words from you. he dove right into a bear hug, squeezing you tighter every second until he let go.
his personality was that of a knight in shining armor, he was selfless and never wanted to bring anyone down. it was funny how people thought he was such a nuisance because heโs the most caring guy youโve met.
