My favorite BL trope that’s not a trope because it’s nearly nonexistent!!

My dream poly situations:

Ryu-Zen-Atom in The Rebound. Not only would itve been perfect, I feel like the show deliberately teased this possibility several times—and then sent a heartbroken Atom out of the country alone. 😢

The runners-up

Kenta-Pete-Way in Pit Babe. Kenta loved Pete and Pete loved Way and Way needed someone to save him from his futile Babe obsession. Poly could’ve helped them all heal! Instead, Way died and Kenta went to prison. (Don’t get me wrong I’m loving the season 2 story line, but part of me is still wistful about this missed opportunity.)

Dee-Yak-Taem in Wandee Goodday. This show was honestly perfect for me as is…but I think it could’ve been perfecter! Imagine if Yak just really couldn’t choose—I feel like these two sweetie pies would’ve come around to sharing him and being besties. (And Dee could add another notch to his “told you I’m not vanilla!” belt.)

Nick-Boston-+++ in Only Friends. I was disappointed how quickly Nick gave up on the idea of having an open but committed relationship with Ton. Sure it had a rocky start but I think they could’ve found a middle ground that worked for both of them. And maybe Nick could’ve had Daddy Dan as a secondary boyfriend!

YunJe-JeongGyu-DongSeop in Cityboy_Log. YunJe wanted JaeJun. DongSeop was gunning for JiHan. JeongGyu was just having fun but clearly attracted to both of them. Those three should’ve gotten together and let poor 2J alone!

DaOn-JaeMin-SuHyeon-SeongHyeon in Secret Relationships. OBVIOUSLY DaOn deserved to have a harem. Too bad two of his three loves were irredeemably deranged.

Day 23 - Most disappointing ending to a series?

The Rebound!

I know they were supposed to be a bunch of 15-year-olds but my brain couldn't compute that so I just set them as 18-years-olds

And as such I wanted my poly boys.

Those boys were so poly-coded it was ridiculous and as such in my mind Atom moved in with Zen and Ryu into Zens Grandmas house and they all lived happily ever after while playing basketball together, and Grandma enjoyed having her 3 grandsons around the house

I sure hope I’m reading real clues and it’s not just wishful thinking. First off, Ryu doesn’t bristle whenever Atom is around. He’s growing accustomed to sharing Zen’s company with him.

I think Ryu has to be the one to open the door to it, like Pan did in Deep Night. Like, I won, but my victory feels incomplete because my baby longs for more, and also my rival is actually a really great guy…

The thing is Ryu, Atom and Zen feel like throuple. Atom does not feel like the outside love interest.

Normally you get the love triangle and you feel it when you are watching, you know it's a love triangle.

I'm really shit at explaining it but it's the vibes people. the vibes feel different to the normal love triangle vibes.

Even when Ryu is pissed at Atom for being too close to Zen it still doesn't seem like Atom is intruding or something.

Fucking Golf is a genius is all I can say, just getting those vibes right.
