Back to @slonekaru ‘s part 2 of the 15-day BL challenge (a sequel to an earlier one started by @negrowhat ) !

Well anyone who saw my previous post, railing about being robbed by The Rebound, won’t be too shocked by my answer to this question:

Day 24: What Storyline/trope do you enjoy and wish to see more of?

I love lots of tropes and plot lines but one that’s barely ever covered is polyamory (especially polyfidelity, though I’d love more of any configuration!).

As someone who’s been poly my whole adult life, fell in love twice and am lucky enough to have been married to both my loves for a ridiculously long time (still am!), I believe in HEA poly and would love to see more of it!

Also it’s so sexy and emotionally exciting when done right. Like in my two favorite cinematic depictions, both in Thai QLs: 3 Will Be Free (not strictly BL cuz it’s a MMF throuple) and Deep Night. Both handled the subject tremendously well, capturing not only the innate sexiness of threeways but the trust, communication, vulnerability and unselfishness needed to make them a lasting success.

Day 9: Most Visually Pleasing Love Scene

Let's get into the colored love scenes. The ones completely bathed in a singular color to evoke a certain emotion fueling the love scene. IDK what the colors mean 98% of the time but I know the color was a deliberate choice.

The Green Bathroom Scene in KinnPorsche. The way I was OBSESSED with this scene. I could watch it for 10 hrs straight and scream and squeal like it's the first time.

The Blue Scene in For Him the Series. Between the blue lighting and Nail allowing Him to undress him completely (jewelry included) I was GAGGED. It was such an eye grabbing scene.

The Pink Scene in the Sign. What can I say about this fucking scene other than PERFECTION!? I liked that we got two love scenes wrapped in one bright neon pink bow, but specifically when they move to the bed and Phaya is PLASTERED again Tharn's back?? The silent consent?? Tharn biting his thumb as Phaya entered him?? *Chef's Kiss*

But also...any type of lifting in a love scene??? Idk man it tickles my brain and I LOVE to see it! Specifically Tharn lifting Type in the shower in TharnType s2. Honestly...Tharn lifted Type's big ass quite frequently.

Oh also that one love scene of Charlie railing Babe against the locker room mirror. I enjoyed every scene of Babe getting railed though.

And the Daddy Couch Scene in Love in the Air. Like that was a treat for me. I prayed for it and was gifted. It was for me.

Day 27 - Top 3 BL Kisses?

Ahhhhh, narrowing this down is so difficult. I had to do a lot of revisiting of kisses (such hard work). Also ask me on a different day, and I might have all different answers.

Obviously, I have to have a Love in the Air pick here. Payu is such a good frickin kisser. I like this kiss in particular because we love a man who's not in a rush for more, and just wants to indulge in tonguing down his new man.

And I loved the TanFang kisses in We Are. There are certain actors out there who seem to recognize the value in developing their kiss performance, and it definitely seems like Aou & Boom have been practicing, because they had the top tier kisses of the show for me. It's not just about what their mouths are doing, but the entire physicality of their performance. There was such a fantastic contrast between Fang's reticence in public, and his deep hunger when alone with Tan.

As much as it took some time for Japan and Korea to get into the kiss game, they have been making up for lost time. I'm going to cheat a bit and pick one from each country that made an impression, because I am all about equity.

Of course the My Personal Weatherman "I can't breathe without you" kiss. Love a kiss in the rain.

And the Semantic Error "thank god, finally" kiss, where you can actually see the static in Sang Woo's brain calm for a moment (before the panic sets in).

Ok, I'm going to cheat one more time, and include a special mention. Since it was in the pilot trailer, it seems like we're not going to get the same one in the actual series, but it's too good not to include this from Monster Next Door.

Day 10 - Most emotionally pleasing love scene

Oh, hands down Wei Qian and Zhi Yuan. Unknown was just pitch perfect and beautiful and painful and I just loved it 🥰

Which BL actor do you want to see more of?

Barcode Tinnasit

How can someone have so few series and still be universally agreed to be one of the best actors in the industry? Be Barcode Tinnasit of course!!

Genuinely this guy is one of the industry’s prodigies and yet he’s routinely so mistreated. Why!?

The amount of times this man has had a series announced before it’s ultimately abandoned is sooooo disappointing.

But, regardless, the work we do have from Barcode is more than impressive. He is the heart and soul of DFF, and I’d argue the best part of the entire series. In Kinnporsche, his portrayal of Porchay is so heartbreaking in every little nuance.

I’m awaiting Happy Endings’ release, and still hoping that Wuju Bakery sees the light of day someday…
