its a lovely clear summer night, not a cloud to be seen in the broad expanse of the night sky. you and him lay sprawled out on the grass, the two of you gazing up at the stars as they softly shed their gentle light onto you, crickets faintly singing in the background and the wind softly combing through your hair, its tendrils leaving goosebumps on your skin in their wake.
"did you bring a blanket out? 's real cold.." you mumble in complaint, your hands rubbing over your upper arms for friction to create warmth, but what a futile attempt it is– as your hands are just as cold, if not colder than the rest of your body.
"no…" he murmurs in response, his gazing flickering to you under the moonlight, seeing you nearly shivering like a leaf in the wind. he then crawls on top of you and plops his body on top of yours, his head on your chest and his arms wrapped around you, nuzzling into you with a content sigh. "but i can be your blanket." he hums, his voice a low rumble against your chest.
you smile fondly and gaze down at him, your fingers idly carding through his hair before gazing back up at the stars. "but you cant see the stars like this, love." you whisper to him, your breath gently fanning over the shell of his ear as your eyes gleam with affection for him, your eyes twinkling like the stars in the ethereal scene painted above your heads.
he then leaves a tender kiss in the crook of your neck, and you can feel his smile against your skin as he murmurs…

Hi! I’m glad I found your page that writes initial d x reader content. Would you be able to write about Keisuke or ryosuke who has a crush on a clueless/oblivious reader? Thanks :)
Keisuke Takahashi, Ryosuke Takahashi (seperately) with a crush on Oblivious! Reader
a/n: EEE THIS WAS SO CUTE TO IMAGINE >.< I hope you enjoy!! Feel free to send any more requests :333
You always admired Ryosuke Takahashi's skills and dedication to street racing, but you never imagined you’d become a part of his world. When you joined Project D as a support crew member, you were thrilled. You were good with numbers and had a knack for strategy, which Ryosuke quickly noticed. However, what you didn’t notice was how his eyes lingered on you a bit longer than necessary, or how he seemed to find excuses to be around you more often than anyone else.
“Here, take a look at this,” Ryosuke handed you his laptop with the latest data from Keisuke’s practice runs.
You took the laptop from him, your focus solely on the numbers and graphs displayed on the screen. “His entry speed is a bit off on the third hairpin. If he doesn’t adjust, he’ll lose too much time,” you murmured, completely engrossed in the data.
Ryosuke watched you with a small smile, noticing how your brow furrowed in concentration. “You’re right. We’ll have to go over that with him before the race,” he replied, though his mind was more on how cute you looked when you were deep in thought than on the data itself.
You nodded, already typing out some notes to bring up during the team meeting. “I’ll make sure to mention it to him,” you said, still oblivious to the way Ryosuke’s gaze softened when you weren’t looking.
The days passed with you completely focused on your work with Project D, your analytical mind a perfect complement to Ryosuke’s strategic genius. The two of you spent countless hours together, often working late into the night to ensure everything was perfect for the next race. Ryosuke appreciated your dedication, but he also found himself growing more and more captivated by you.
One evening, after a particularly long day of preparations, Ryosuke suggested a break. “Let’s grab something to eat. You’ve been working nonstop,” he said, his tone gentle yet firm.
You looked up from your notes, surprised. “Oh, I’m fine. There’s still a lot to do before tomorrow,” you replied, not even realizing how exhausted you were.
Ryosuke shook his head, a slight smile tugging at the corners of his lips. “You’ll work better with a full stomach. Besides, it’s on me,” he added, hoping to make the offer more appealing.
You hesitated, but the rumble of your stomach betrayed you. “Okay, fine. But only because you’re insisting,” you finally agreed, standing up and stretching, completely unaware of the way Ryosuke’s eyes followed your movements.
At the small diner, the two of you sat across from each other, the atmosphere surprisingly relaxed. Ryosuke found himself opening up more than usual, sharing stories from his past races and even a bit about his life outside of Project D. You listened intently, genuinely interested in everything he had to say.
“You’ve accomplished so much, Ryosuke,” you said with admiration, your eyes shining as you looked at him. “It’s no wonder everyone respects you so much.”
Ryosuke felt a warmth spread through him at your words. “I couldn’t have done any of it without the team… and without people like you,” he replied, his voice softer than usual.
You blushed slightly at the compliment, but quickly brushed it off. “I’m just doing my part,” you said with a shrug, completely missing the deeper meaning behind his words.
The next few weeks were a whirlwind of activity as Project D prepared for a series of intense races. Ryosuke and you continued to work closely together, your bond growing stronger with each passing day. However, your obliviousness to Ryosuke’s feelings remained as strong as ever.
One night, after another successful race, the team was celebrating at a local hangout spot. You were chatting with Keisuke about his latest victory when Ryosuke approached, a rare smile on his face.
“You did great tonight,” Ryosuke said, his eyes locking onto yours.
You grinned back at him, completely missing the way Keisuke rolled his eyes at the obvious tension between his brother and you. “Thanks! It was all thanks to your strategy, though,” you replied, giving Ryosuke all the credit.
Keisuke decided to take matters into his own hands. “You know, Ryosuke’s been talking about you a lot lately,” he said with a smirk, earning a sharp look from his older brother.
You blinked in surprise, turning to Ryosuke. “Really? What about?” you asked, genuinely curious.
Ryosuke cleared his throat, a bit flustered for once. “Just… your dedication to the team. It’s impressive,” he said, trying to keep his voice steady.
You smiled, completely oblivious to the deeper meaning behind his words. “Well, I’m glad I can help. Project D is important to me, too,” you said earnestly.
Keisuke sighed in exasperation, but before he could say anything else, Ryosuke shot him a warning look. Keisuke just shook his head, muttering something about how hopeless his brother could be.
As Project D’s journey continued, so did Ryosuke’s feelings for you. He admired your intelligence, your passion, and the way you fit so perfectly into the team. But most of all, he cherished the moments he got to spend with you, even if you remained blissfully unaware of his growing affection.
One day, after another long session of planning, Ryosuke found himself sitting beside you, the two of you alone in the quiet room. He glanced at you, his heart pounding in his chest as he mustered up the courage to speak.
“You know,” he began, his voice steady, “I’ve been thinking… about what comes after Project D.”
You looked up at him, surprised by the sudden change in topic. “Oh? What do you have in mind?” you asked, genuinely curious.
Ryosuke hesitated for a moment, then decided to take the plunge. “I’m not sure yet. But whatever it is… I hope you’ll be a part of it,” he said, his gaze intense as he looked into your eyes.
You blinked, taken aback by the seriousness in his tone. “Of course I will. We make a great team,” you replied, smiling brightly at him, completely missing the deeper implication of his words.
Ryosuke’s heart sank slightly, but he couldn’t help but smile back at you. “Yeah… we do,” he said softly, deciding that for now, just having you by his side was enough.
As the two of you continued working together, Ryosuke remained patient, content with the moments you shared, even if you were still blissfully unaware of his true feelings. After all, he was nothing if not strategic—and he knew that eventually, you’d realize just how much you meant to him. Until then, he would cherish every second he got to spend with you, hoping that one day, you’d see him as more than just a teammate.
Keisuke Takahashi
Keisuke Takahashi had always been known for his hot-headed demeanor and intense focus on racing. The moment he first met you, though, something changed. You weren't like the other members of Project D, who were all about speed and precision. You brought a refreshing lightness to the team—always cheerful, supportive, and completely oblivious to the fact that Keisuke had developed a massive crush on you.
Your role in Project D was crucial, even if it wasn't behind the wheel. You helped with coordination, keeping track of logistics, and making sure the drivers were well-prepared before each race. You had a knack for anticipating what the team needed before they even knew it themselves. Keisuke noticed this, of course. He noticed everything about you, from the way your eyes lit up when you were talking about the latest racing strategy, to how you'd laugh at the smallest things, bringing an unexpected warmth to the otherwise intense atmosphere of Project D.
"Hey, can you hand me that wrench?" Keisuke's voice startled you from your thoughts one afternoon. You were in the garage, helping the mechanics with some last-minute checks on his Mazda FD3S RX-7.
"Oh! Sure, here you go," you said with a smile, handing him the tool. Keisuke took it from your hand, his fingers brushing against yours for the briefest moment. You didn't think much of it, but Keisuke's heart skipped a beat.
"Thanks," he muttered, trying to sound casual. You nodded, oblivious to the way his eyes lingered on you for a moment longer than necessary.
During race days, you were always there, cheering on the drivers with an infectious enthusiasm. Keisuke often found himself glancing in your direction, drawn to the way you seemed to genuinely care about every race, every driver, every result.
One evening after a successful race, the team gathered to celebrate. You were in high spirits, laughing and chatting with the others, completely unaware that Keisuke was watching you from across the room, his expression softer than usual.
"You did great out there tonight, Keisuke!" you said when you finally caught his eye. "I knew you'd win!"
He blinked, momentarily caught off guard by the warmth in your voice. "Yeah, well… thanks," he replied, trying to hide the slight blush creeping up his neck.
"You should smile more, you know," you teased lightly, completely unaware of the effect your words had on him. "You always look so serious."
"I’m focused," Keisuke replied, trying to maintain his usual tough exterior. But there was a hint of a smile playing on his lips.
"Focused, huh?" you grinned, nudging him playfully. "Well, it's good to have that intensity on the track. But it's nice to see you relax every now and then."
Keisuke’s heart thudded in his chest. He wasn’t used to this—feeling vulnerable, wanting to open up. But with you, it felt… different. He wanted to talk more, share more, and maybe even tell you how he really felt. But every time he tried, the words got stuck in his throat.
One day, as the team prepared for a particularly challenging race, you noticed Keisuke looking a little more tense than usual. You walked over to him, offering him a bottle of water.
"Hey, you okay?" you asked, concern in your eyes. "You seem a bit off today."
Keisuke took the water from you, trying to play it cool. "I’m fine. Just… thinking."
You smiled at him, that bright, oblivious smile that always made his heart do somersaults. "You’re going to do great, I know it. Just trust yourself."
He nodded, your words giving him a strange sense of calm. "Thanks… I mean it."
"Anytime," you said, giving him a thumbs-up. "We’re all rooting for you."
As you walked away to help the others, Keisuke watched you go, his chest tight with the feelings he didn’t quite know how to express. He wanted to say something—anything—to let you know how much you meant to him. But every time he tried, the moment seemed to slip away.
It wasn’t until after that race, when the team was winding down, that Keisuke finally mustered up the courage to approach you.
"Hey," he said, a little more awkwardly than he intended.
"Hey!" you replied, turning to face him with that same bright smile. "You were amazing out there! I’m so proud of you!"
Keisuke’s heart pounded. He wanted to tell you everything—how much your support meant to him, how he looked forward to seeing you every day, how you were the reason he pushed himself so hard. But all he could manage was:
"I… appreciate you."
You blinked in surprise, not fully grasping the weight of his words. "I appreciate you too, Keisuke! We make a great team, don’t we?"
He nodded, a small smile tugging at the corners of his mouth. "Yeah… we do."
As you turned away, already moving on to the next task, Keisuke sighed, running a hand through his hair. He’d have to try again another day. For now, he was content just being around you, even if you had no idea how much you meant to him.
And who knows? Maybe one day, you’d notice the way his eyes softened whenever he looked at you, or how he was always a little kinder, a little more patient when you were around. Until then, Keisuke would keep racing, keep pushing himself, all with you in his thoughts, waiting for the right moment to finally tell you how he felt.
Warnings/Genre: sfw, fluff, established relationship
a/n: there's not enough Ryosuke fics out there so here's my contribution
Remember
"Remember how we met?" The hand around yours squeezes ever so slightly. The way Ryosuke looks at you still catches you off guard from time to time.
Though the heads of some of the now disbanded RedSuns turning your way doesn't help the heat rising in your chest, something soft and warm morphing into some form of embarrassment.
"No, no," you wine, ducking your head and covering your eyes with your free hand.
A light chuckle warms your ears, "What?"
Heat still radiates from the front of his RX-7 after a night with his old teammates, warming your legs as you sit on the hood. Ryosuke is done hitting the RedSuns' home course, and though you love watching him zoom through Mt Akagi, you love having him by your side even more. "I thought you were this helpless little lady stuck in a grocery store parking lot. I really thought I was going to rescue you- No, not really, but I did feel obligated to help. It was dark out, you were all alone. It didn't seem right to drive on by without stopping to check on you."
"And I thought you were going to be annoying and assume I couldn't help myself," you give him a pointed look.
He stiffens, but quickly relaxes again once he notices the smirk tugging at the corner of your lips. "I did not expect to walk around your car to see you pulling a radiator out of the engine bay though. That had me lost for words."
You shrug nonchalantly. No doubt it was a strange sight. Ryosuke wasn’t even the first to stumble across you that night. However, he was the only one you didn't manage to chase off. In fact, after your initial snarl he proved to be both genuine and helpful, which was a first.
"I was refusing to have the thing towed." You giggle quietly to yourself. "Not like I had a garage waiting on me anywhere at the time anyway. What difference did it make - fixing my car in a store's parking lot or the one at my apartment?"
He nods in agreement. "Still though."
Bumping his shoulder against your own, he brushes his nose against your temple. "I remember almost kicking over that plastic tub that looked a lot like it belonged in a kitchen, and much less like it should be full of coolant."
You huff with a soft smile, "I was at a grocery store, remember?"
He yelps when you jab a finger into his ribs. Eyes shoot to Keisuke when they let a laugh escape at his expense.
"Yes, of course," he answers, rubbing the afflicted area to soothe the irritation.
Who would have thought. You're old shitbox blowing a radiator in a grocery parking lot all those nights ago would have led to a very handsome man and his white FC stopping to help you. That said man would have helped you get your car fixed before 2am but the two of you wouldn't leave the lot until almost 4am.
"What a way for this to have started," you murmur to yourself at the thought.
There's a glimmer in Ryosuke's eyes as he looks down at you, lips curled softly into the sweetest smile.
Who would have thought you would have gone from crying in aggravation over your car breaking down on a late night grocery trip to being oh so glad it did.
KISS LIST -> 04 you finally meet the people on your kiss list, all at once
MORI'S THOUGHTS -> new way overdue chapter!!!! i will be gone again for several days!!! kiss kiss xoxo <3 enjoy <- PREV NEXT ->
"Remind me why we're doing this again?" You trudged next to Oba, hands shoved into your pockets to combat the slightly chilly weather.
"So that I can go talk to Takako," your friend deadpanned, linking her arm through yours.
"And obviously that involves me, and you just had to do this when practice is starting for the baseball team?" you sighed, already resigning yourself to your fate.
"You know it!" Oba chirped, and you smiled to yourself at your friend's antics.
"I hate you."
"Aww, babe," Oba pretended to swoon, and you giggled as the two of you approached the dugout. It was better than succumbing to the erratic rhythm of your heartbeat, anyway.
It was an in and out job. Oba would talk to Takako, most likely about the party, and you would then join in for a few minutes before you and Oba left with no extra trouble. Then again, life had a knack for not turning out the way you envisioned it to.
"Miyuki-senpai!" An incredibly loud voice reached your ears, and you looked over to the field to see a boy with brown hair waving at the team's catcher while pointing in your direction."Some of your fanclub are here to see you!" Oh, no way. You were weighing up the pros and cons of throttling that first-year, but Oba had now struck up her conversation with Takako with your arm still firmly linked with hers. Your plans would have to wait.
You rolled your eyes as you saw Miyuki lift his head, a sly smile spreading across his face as he saw you. He wasn't close enough to properly make out his facial features, but knowing him, that's probably what he was doing right now. He raised his hand in a small wave, managing to make it irritating in his own signature way, and you responded with a less friendly gesture from your own hand. It didn't phase the catcher in the slightest, as he just laughed before continuing to warm up.
Never in a million years, you thought to yourself.
"I thought you weren't a fan of baseball, butterfingers." A teasing voice from behind you had you whipping around, seeing the amused face of none other than Kominato Ryosuke. Oba- ever the observant one- had let go of your arm by now, and with a knowing look sent your way from both her and Takako you found yourself being left alone with the pink-haired boy. The timing of everything almost made you laugh. Sure, you were to expect at least a little awkwardness when you appeared in a place where all people on your kiss list could be found at the same time, but it's not like you were advertising your intentions for the upcoming months to them.
"Oh, you know. I like to watch it sometimes." You smiled at Ryosuke, who snickered at your comment.
"Sure, kiddo." Your cheeks turned pink, and you gave your senior a glare.
"That's worse than butterfingers." Ryosuke only laughed, again, before raising a hand to ruffle your hair and make his way to the pitch, effectively leaving you a flushed mess.
"You know, you're quite ballsy for trying to kiss guys who are all on the same baseball team." You almost jumped as you heard Oba's voice from beside you. She hooked her arm through yours, guiding you back to the dorms. You glanced back at the pitch, eyes flitting between the other members of the team who made an appearance on your list.
There was Chris, sat on the bleachers with a serious expression on his face and a notebook open on his lap. Back on the field, you could see Kuramochi and Isashiki stood around the same loud first year from earlier. The latter was yelling at the first-year, and you could hear Kuramochi's distinct laugh above everyone else, the sound making you smile fondly. He really had changed since middle school.
Then your eyes focused on a third figure wearing his iconic thick-framed glasses, and you wrinkled your nose before turning away from the field one final time.
"It's not like they know that there's a piece of paper with all of their names on it."
"Just be careful, alright?" you nodded, feeling touched from your friend's concern.
Whenever you're up past midnight, you get second thoughts about your life. Doubts enter your brain and negative thoughts take place.
One night you couldn't sleep with this question running around in your brain. You had to know, otherwise you'd be twisting and turning all night until the sun rose.
"Ryosuke?" Your voice is slightly about a whisper, hoping you weren't making him grumpy by trying to talk to his sleeping form. You turn to him.
"Hm?" Ryosuke was always good at waking up immediately-- then again he was a light sleeper, so most things would wake him up.
Here goes nothing. "Do you like me?"
He exhales sharply through his nose, as if he found this amusing. "[Y/N]," he turns to face you with his eyes still closed. "I married you." Ryosuke drapes his arm over you and leans closer. You were tempted to give him a small peck to his lips but decided against it, deciding to watch him slowly going back to a sleeping state.
"Yea, that's true.. I love you."
A small smile appears on his face, "and I love you."

Initial D request for reader who has an unrequited love for ryosuke but knows his heart belongs to Kaori (dead or alive in this scenario). You can make it angsty or have a romantic ending or both! Love to see what you create :)
Reader in love with Ryosuke Takahashi who can't move on from Kaori
I made Ryosuke have feelings for Reader but it's still angsty and he's obviously hung up over Kaori, hope that's okay! I sorta got caught up in dramatics, lol. Anyways, enjoy!
a/n: Can I just say that initial D women are SO beautiful. Every single one of them are so pretty and I looooove Shuichi Shigeno's old style. (fuck MFG, I hate their pit terrier heads 💀)
You stood on the hillside overlooking the town, the cool evening breeze ruffling your hair as you watched the sun sink lower behind the mountains. The view was stunning, but your mind wasn’t on the scenery. Instead, it was on him—Ryosuke Takahashi.
You’d loved him for what felt like forever. From the moment you met, you admired his intelligence, his calm demeanor, his unwavering drive. He was everything you weren’t—sharp, calculating, focused. And yet, despite all that, he seemed to carry a weight with him that never left his eyes, no matter how much time passed.
That weight was her. Kaori.
You’d never met her, but you didn’t need to. Her absence was a constant presence in Ryosuke’s life, and the few times he spoke of her, it was as if he was lost in another world—one you could never reach. She had passed away long before you came into his life, but she still held his heart. It was something you understood, yet it left you hollow all the same.
You often caught yourself watching him from across the room during team meetings, the way he would fall silent, his mind clearly elsewhere. You knew where he was—back in those memories, back with her. And every time, it crushed you a little more, knowing that no matter what you did, no matter how much you cared for him, you could never be her.
It was unspoken, but you had long accepted that your love for him would always be unrequited. Ryosuke had built walls around himself, walls that no one—not even you—could break down. He kept you at arm’s length, close enough to care about, but far enough to never let you in.
The moon hung high in the night sky, casting a soft glow over the empty parking lot where you and Ryosuke sat together, leaning against his FC. It had been one of those quiet, peaceful nights where words weren’t needed—just being near him was enough. You had started to wonder if, maybe, just maybe, Ryosuke was beginning to feel the same way about you. The way his eyes softened when they met yours, the comfortable silence that stretched between you—it all felt like a fragile new beginning.
“I’m really glad you’re here,” Ryosuke said quietly, his voice low and calm as always, but with a hint of something warmer tonight.
You smiled, your heart fluttering at his words. “Me too, Ryosuke. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.”
For a moment, you allowed yourself to imagine that this could work, that he could let go of the past and open his heart to you. He had been more vulnerable lately, more present. You could feel the walls between you starting to crumble, and you felt so close to him—closer than ever before.
"The moon is so beautiful tonight, isn't it?"
You held back a gasp at his words, eyes widening with joy as you hoped that this was leading to where you thought it'd be heading.
But then, in the middle of your contentment, his next words shattered everything.
“Kaori…”
Your breath hitched in your throat, and your smile froze as if the world had suddenly stopped spinning.
“What?” you whispered, your voice barely audible.
Ryosuke’s eyes widened in horror the moment the name slipped out, his face paling. “I—no, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean—”
But it was too late. The damage was done. You felt the tears pricking at the corners of your eyes, the pain of his slip-up hitting you like a punch to the gut. All the hope you’d been nurturing crumbled in an instant, replaced by a raw, burning ache.
“It’s fine,” you said quickly, but your voice cracked as you forced the words out. “It’s fine, Ryosuke.”
Before he could say another word, you turned on your heel, your heart pounding as you hurried to your car, desperate to get away before you broke down in front of him. You couldn’t face him—not now. Not after this.
“Wait,” Ryosuke called after you, his voice strained with regret. “I didn’t mean to—”
But you couldn’t hear him. You didn’t want to. You just needed to run.
You slammed the door of your car shut and revved the engine, pulling out of the parking lot with a screech of tires. The moment you hit the mountain pass, your foot pressed down on the accelerator, the speedometer climbing rapidly as you tore through the winding roads.
“Kaori,” you whispered, the name echoing painfully in your mind. “It’s always her.”
Tears blurred your vision, but you didn’t care. You needed to let it out—the frustration, the hurt, the anger. You screamed, slamming your foot down harder on the gas as your car flew through the corners with reckless abandon. The tires squealed as you barely managed to control the turns, the adrenaline pumping through your veins as you pushed the car faster and faster.
He would never see you. He would never love you, not the way you loved him. Kaori’s shadow would always be there, lingering between the two of you, keeping him from moving forward. No matter how much you tried to be there for him, no matter how much you wanted to be enough, you would never be her.
her.
Her.
HER!!
The tears came harder now, and with them, a bitter scream that ripped from your throat, echoing through the empty mountain road.
You were angry—angry at him, angry at yourself for falling for someone who could never fully give himself to you. You knew it, deep down, but you hadn’t wanted to believe it until now. And it hurt.
God, it hurt so much.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, you pulled over to the side of the road, your hands trembling as you gripped the steering wheel. You sat there, shaking, the sobs coming in waves now, the weight of your heartbreak crashing down on you all at once.
It was Kyoko who picked up when you called her later that night, your voice barely recognizable through the tears. She didn’t ask questions, didn’t pry. She simply listened as you cried, as you poured your heart out to her, telling her everything that had happened.
“I was so stupid,” you said, your voice raw and broken. “I thought maybe he could love me too. But he called me her name. I’ll never be enough for him, Kyoko. I’ll never be her.”
Kyoko’s voice was soft, steady, and full of sympathy. “You’re not stupid. You’re just in love with someone who hasn’t let go of the past. It’s not your fault.”
You sniffled, wiping at your eyes. “But he’ll never let go, will he? She took his heart with her when she left, and I’ll never have it. I’ll always just be a placeholder, a second choice.”
There was a pause on the other end of the line, and when Kyoko spoke again, her words were careful but firm. “Maybe you’re right. Maybe he’s not ready to let go. And if that’s the case, then you have to ask yourself—do you really want to keep chasing after someone who’s holding on to someone else?”
Her words hit you hard, and you fell silent, the reality of it all sinking in.
“I know it’s not easy,” Kyoko continued, her voice filled with understanding. “I’ve been there. I still have feelings for Keisuke, you know? Even though I knew I couldn’t have him, I still wanted him. But I had to respect his choice. He wanted to focus on racing, and that meant not being with me. It hurt, but… I had to let him go.”
You let out a shaky breath, trying to steady your emotions. “But how do I let go of Ryosuke?”
Kyoko’s voice softened even more. “You deserve someone who gives their all to you. Someone who’s ready to love you with their whole heart, not just a part of it. And Ryosuke… maybe he’ll get there someday. But right now, he’s not. And you can’t keep hurting yourself waiting for him to change.”
A fresh wave of tears welled up in your eyes, but this time they were quieter, less frantic. You knew she was right. As much as it hurt to admit it, Kyoko was right. You couldn’t keep chasing after someone whose heart still belonged to someone else, someone who was already gone.
“I just… I just wanted him to love me,” you whispered, your voice breaking again.
“I know,” Kyoko said softly. “But you can’t make someone love you. And you shouldn’t have to.”
You nodded, even though she couldn’t see you. “I guess I just need to move on, huh?”
Kyoko let out a small, bittersweet laugh. “Easier said than done, right? But yeah, maybe it’s time. And who knows? Maybe one day, Ryosuke will realize what he’s lost. But don’t wait for that day. Live your life for you. Love yourself enough to let go.”
As the conversation came to a close, you felt a strange sense of peace settle over you, even though the pain was still raw. You weren’t over Ryosuke—not yet—but Kyoko’s words had given you something you desperately needed: clarity.
Maybe you couldn’t change Ryosuke’s heart, but you could choose to protect your own.
The air was thick with tension as the usual hum of excitement surrounded the Project D meetup. Keisuke glanced at Ryosuke, who was leaning against his FC with a distant look in his eyes. He hadn’t been himself lately—his focus was scattered, and he seemed completely oblivious to the discussions and strategies being tossed around by the others. It was clear something was bothering him.
“Hey, Ryosuke,” Keisuke called, motioning for his brother to step aside. The others didn’t notice as they continued discussing their upcoming races, their laughter echoing in the air.
Ryosuke followed Keisuke a few paces away, his brow furrowed. “What is it?”
“You’ve been out of it. You’re not even coaching us properly.” Keisuke’s tone was firm, bordering on annoyed. “What’s going on?”
Ryosuke hesitated, the weight of his feelings pressing heavily on his chest. “It’s... it’s complicated,” he finally said, his voice barely above a whisper.
“Complicated how?” Keisuke pressed. “You’re usually so calculated. You’re acting like an idiot right now.”
Ryosuke flinched at his brother’s words, the sting of the truth hitting him hard. He was being reckless, and he knew it. “It’s about… her.”
Keisuke crossed his arms, his expression shifting to concern. “What happened?”
“I messed up,” Ryosuke admitted, running a hand through his hair in frustration. “I accidentally called her Kaori’s name. I didn’t mean to, but it just slipped out, and now she won’t answer my calls or show up to any of the meets.”
Keisuke stared at him, incredulous. “You called her by another woman's name? Are you serious? That’s a rookie mistake, Ryosuke!”
“I know!” Ryosuke snapped, his frustration bubbling to the surface. “I didn’t mean for it to happen! It was just a moment, and now… now she thinks she’ll never be enough for me.”
Keisuke’s expression softened slightly, but he remained stern. “You need to fix this. She’s not just going to come back on her own. You have to show her that you care—really care. Stop moping around and get out there.”
Ryosuke let out a heavy sigh, the gravity of his brother’s words sinking in. “But what if she doesn’t want to see me?”
“Then you’ll have to make her want to. For crying out loud, she probably thinks you don't give a single shit about hurting her with how long you've made her wait! Go after her!” Keisuke urged, his voice filled with urgency.
Ryosuke hesitated for a moment longer before the realization hit him hard. “You’re right. I can’t just sit here.”
Without another word, he turned and bolted toward his FC. He slid into the driver’s seat, heart racing, and immediately started the engine. As he pulled out of the lot, Keisuke watched him go, hoping his brother wouldn’t screw this up again.
The drive felt like a blur, the familiar roads leading him back to the emotions he had tried to bury. He raced through the twists and turns, adrenaline pumping in time with his heart. All he could think about was making things right, showing you that he was more than just a guy clinging to the shadows of his past.
Arriving at your house, he parked hastily and hopped out, his mind racing. He knocked on the door, anxiety twisting in his stomach. When there was no response, he knocked again, louder this time.
You sat in your room, the silence pressing in around you, a heavy cloak of loneliness. You didn’t know how long you could keep avoiding Ryosuke, but each time you thought about seeing him, the memory of that name slipping from his lips burned fresh in your mind. It hurt in a way that felt endless.
When you heard a car pull up outside, your heart raced—not with excitement but with dread. You peered out the window, and your breath hitched when you saw Ryosuke’s FC parked on the curb. The world around you faded as you felt the weight of his presence so close yet so far.
There was a knock on your door, firm yet hesitant. You didn’t answer, feeling tears well up as you hugged your knees to your chest, fighting the urge to break down.
Ryosuke’s voice came softly through the door as he called your name with a desperate plea in his tone. “Please. Can we talk?”
You stayed silent, not knowing what to say. You could hear the tension in his voice, the regret that laced every word, but the hurt still felt too fresh.
“Just… just open the door,” he pleaded, desperation evident. “I know I messed up. I’m so sorry. I shouldn’t have said that name. I didn’t mean to hurt you.”
A lump formed in your throat as you held back the tears. “You did hurt me, Ryosuke. You hurt me a lot.”
The door creaked open, and there he stood, looking more vulnerable than you had ever seen him. The usual calm confidence was gone, replaced by an anxious energy. His eyes searched yours, filled with sincerity and remorse.
“Please let me explain,” he said, stepping forward, but you held up a hand to stop him.
“No,” you said, voice trembling. “You don’t get it. I don’t want to hear excuses. I don’t want to feel like I’m competing with someone who isn’t even here anymore.”
Ryosuke’s expression shifted, pain etched across his features. “You’re not competing. Kaori was part of my past. I’m here now. With you.”
“But every time you look at me, it’s like you’re seeing her,” you admitted, tears spilling over as you struggled to hold it together. “I’m right in front of you, and yet it feels like I’m invisible. It kills me, Ryosuke. I’m so deeply in love with you, and it hurts every time you’re obviously somewhere else, even when you’re right next to me.”
He took a step closer, desperation in his gaze. “I don’t want that. I want you. I’ve tried to move on, but I’ve been stupid. I let my past cloud my feelings for you, and I never wanted to make you feel like you were second best. You’re everything to me.”
Your heart raced at his words, hope and heartbreak warring within you. “Then why did you say her name? Why can’t you let go?”
“I thought I had,” he replied, his voice shaking slightly. “But I was wrong. I let my memories take over, and I hurt you in the process. I’m so sorry. I want to be with you, but I need you to understand that I’m still figuring this out. I don’t want to lose you, and I don’t want you to feel like I’m seeing someone else in your eyes.”
The raw honesty in his words struck you, and for the first time since that night, you felt a glimmer of hope. Maybe this wasn’t the end after all.
“Then show me,” you whispered, your heart aching with uncertainty. “Show me that you want me.”
“I will,” he promised, stepping closer, his hand reaching out to cup your cheek. “I’ll do whatever it takes to prove it to you. I don’t want to lose you to my mistakes.”
The warmth of his touch sent a rush of emotions flooding through you. With a shaky breath, you nodded. “Okay. Just… promise me you won’t ever let your past come between us again.”
“I promise,” he said, his voice firm. “You deserve all of me, and I’m going to give it to you.”
As the tension in the room began to fade, you felt the weight on your chest lift slightly, replaced by the warmth of his presence.
Kaori would always be a part of his past, but you were his future. And as you held onto him, you knew that the love you had dreamed of for so long was finally within reach.
Initial D request! A Halloween party where Keisuke and Ryosuke spots their s/o in a sexy costume without their knowledge. Your writing can take the wheel of what happens next ;) keep up the good work!
Keisuke Takahashi and Ryosuke Takahashi see their S/O in a Sexy Costume
a/n: i could totally see keisuke in a werewolf costume and ryosuke as a vampire or mad scientist lol. no colored pics cuz im lazy lol
The Halloween party was in full swing at the Takahashi mansion. The dim lighting and scattered jack-o'-lanterns gave the place an eerie yet exciting vibe, with music thumping in the background as guests mingled and danced. Keisuke, dressed in a werewolf costume complete with fluffy ears and a fur-lined jacket, glanced around the room for what felt like the hundredth time. He'd been expecting you to show up ages ago, but knowing you, you were probably still perfecting your look—something he found both endearing and mildly exasperating.
He shook his head, chuckling softly to himself. They're probably making sure every detail is flawless, he thought, imagining you standing in front of the mirror, adjusting your outfit or adding the final touches to your makeup. Keisuke wasn’t too worried. He knew you'd make an entrance when you were ready.
But an hour and a half had passed since the party started, and still, there was no sign of you. Keisuke leaned against the wall, arms folded, scanning the crowd. His brother, Ryosuke, was chatting with some guests nearby, dressed as a vampire and looking far too composed, as usual. Keisuke, however, was starting to grow a little impatient.
Then, out of the corner of his eye, he spotted you. His breath hitched.
From across the room, you stood near the drink table, chatting with a few friends. But it wasn’t just your presence that stunned him—it was the costume. You were wearing something that clung to your figure in all the right ways, dangerously eye-catching and bold. The outfit left little to the imagination, and Keisuke could barely tear his eyes away. His heart started pounding, a heat rising in his chest that had nothing to do with the crowded room.
"Seriously?" he muttered under his breath, eyes wide. He hadn’t expected this.
He made his way over to you, weaving through the crowd, his expression shifting between shock, amusement, and a growing sense of possessiveness. When he finally reached you, you turned, flashing him that mischievous smile that always made his heart race.
"You took your time," he said, his voice slightly husky. His golden-brown eyes roamed your body, taking in the costume. "But… damn, I wasn’t expecting this."
You tilted your head playfully. "What, this isn’t what you had in mind?"
He let out a breathy laugh, reaching up to adjust one of his werewolf ears. "Not exactly, but… I’m not complaining."
His gaze flickered from your outfit to your face, then back again. "You really had to come in looking like that, huh? In front of everyone?" His tone was teasing, but you could hear the possessive edge in it.
He stepped closer, his fingers brushing against your waist, the fur on his sleeves tickling your skin. "You’re gonna have everyone staring at you, and I don’t think I’m gonna like that," he said with a grin that showed a hint of fang from his costume. His voice dropped to a low murmur. "You’re all mine tonight."
Despite the costume, the playful look in his eyes was all Keisuke. He couldn’t help it—you had that effect on him, always leaving him a little off-balance, and tonight, you’d just upped the ante.
Ryosuke Takahashi
The mansion was alive with the energy of the Halloween party, guests dressed in all kinds of wild and spooky costumes moving through the dimly lit rooms. Ryosuke Takahashi, dressed in a sleek vampire costume complete with a dark cape and sharp fangs, stood by the edge of the gathering, casually sipping from a glass of red wine. He was, as usual, calm and composed, eyes surveying the scene as if everything was playing out exactly as he’d expected.
Well, almost everything.
His mind kept wandering to you. You hadn’t arrived yet, and though he tried to remain indifferent, his gaze kept flicking toward the door. Ryosuke wasn’t one to get impatient, but after an hour and a half had passed, he was starting to wonder what had held you up. Still, he trusted that you had your reasons. Perhaps you were being thorough in your preparations, knowing how much care you put into everything you did.
As he finished his drink and placed the glass on a nearby table, his sharp eyes caught sight of someone across the room. His breath hitched as he recognized you. But that wasn’t the only thing that made him pause.
The costume you were wearing was… well, it was something else. Form-fitting and undeniably bold, the way the outfit accentuated your body sent a shock of surprise through him. It wasn’t like you to be so daring in front of a crowd—at least, not that he’d ever seen. But here you were, standing across the room, talking and laughing as though you hadn’t just sent his normally collected mind into a spin.
Ryosuke composed himself quickly, but his heart betrayed him, hammering in his chest as he made his way toward you with slow, measured steps. As he approached, you turned to face him, your eyes glinting with a playful mischief that didn’t escape his notice.
"Ryosuke," you greeted with a smile, "you finally found me."
He took a moment to respond, his gaze sweeping over your costume before locking onto your eyes. His voice, calm and smooth as ever, carried an undertone of something darker. "You certainly know how to make an entrance."
You tilted your head, playing innocent. "Do you not like it?"
He smirked, his sharp fangs just barely peeking out from his lips. "It’s not a question of whether I like it," he said, his tone both amused and almost predatory. "It’s a question of whether I’m going to let anyone else enjoy it as much as I do."
His words were laced with a teasing possessiveness, though his expression remained as cool as ever. He stepped closer, letting his fingers brush the small of your back, his eyes flicking toward the other partygoers who hadn’t yet realized you were here. "You’ve certainly turned a few heads."
His voice dropped lower, just for you. "But you’re here for me, aren’t you?"
You grinned, your playful energy meeting his calm intensity. "Of course."
Ryosuke’s smirk widened slightly, and he leaned in, his breath cool against your ear as he whispered, "Good. Because I don’t plan on sharing."
Racing was Ryosuke’s forte, he was good at analyzing, at statistics, he was a genius really. He knew how to deal with kids, having grown up being the one to mostly take care of Keisuke even as children, he even knew how to get himself (and sometimes, his brother) out of sticky situations. One thing he didn’t know how to do though? Dealing with a pregnant lover, him being the father of the child that grew in their stomach. He was rather ashamed to admit that he had to do some research on this sort of thing once [Y/N] told him that they were pregnant.
Dealing with his lover’s whining, Ryosuke would have to go outside, smoke a cigarette, and take a breather a couple of times before walking back in to [Y/N] eating another strange meal. Perhaps he should ask his father what it was like dealing with his mother, then again, he hadn’t spoken to his parents in a while once he and Keisuke moved out. So he just had to figure this out himself, little by little.
Wanting to spend time with [Y/N], Ryosuke sat beside them and turned to them. “How are you feeling?” He asks as he lures them to lean against his chest. “Do you need anything?”
[Y/N] shrugged, softly running their fingers along Ryosuke’s arms wrapped around them at this point. “I’m just tired, your damn baby has me worn out like crazy. I just.. I think all I want, all I need right now, are snuggles from my man.”
Ryosuke chuckled, kissing the top of [Y/N]’s head. “Is that so? I was hoping you’d say that.” Despite being on the couch, Ryosuke adjusted himself so [Y/N] can lay on him comfortably, pulling a blanket from the couch back and settled it over them. Since the growing baby bump made laying on their stomach uncomfortable, [Y/N] chose to lay on their side, hand set on Ryosuke’s chest. They nuzzled their face up against his neck, being on his shoulder though. One of Ryosuke’s arms was wrapped around them, his other hand on the hand that sat on his chest.
After a bit of snuggling and watching some television together, [Y/N] began to pant, slightly clenching at Ryosuke’s shirt, feeling sick to their stomach. Ryosuke looked down at them, “[Y/N], are you alri-”
“I can’t-” [Y/N] quickly said before jumping to their feet, rushing to the restroom to puke their guts out. Ryosuke got off the couch, sliding his slippers on before making his way to follow them. Once he reached the bathroom, he kneeled beside their puking form and began rubbing their back.
“Here, love.” He handed them a tissue to wipe their mouth with after they finished, watching them flush the toilet before groaning. “Let’s get you to bed.”
[Y/N] shakily stood up, Ryosuke holding their hands to help them stand up. “I can’t wait for this freaking baby to come out of me. I don’t know if I want another one after this.” He snickered, helping them walk to their bedroom, sitting beside their now laying form.
“I’m sure one will be quite enough for both of us.”
“Ryosuke?” [Y/N] looked at him as they get comfortable underneath the blankets. “Can you get me some.. sushi?”
Ryosuke reached over to stroke his thumb along their cheek, giving them a small smile. “Sushi wouldn’t be good for you while pregnant. I can cook you some soba instead?”
[Y/N] thought about this for a minute before coming to agreement with a nod of their head. “Yea.. And some onigiri with that too?”
A bit later, Ryosuke watched [Y/N] wrap soba noodles around their onigiri with a raised eyebrow. They noticed his gaze, looking up with a pout. “What? I’m pregnant.” He hummed briefly before sitting closer to them, leaning against the bedpost as he watched them with absolute adoration and amusement.
Several months later, Ryosuke shed tears for the first time in a while as the doctor settled his child in his arms, unable to believe that he came to that point in his life where he created his own little family.
