I saw that you provided footnotes with the alternate spellings, but I was just curious about why you chose to go with the versions that you did. ORV was my first exposure to the different ways to romanize the hangul, so I'm really interested.
The original MTL is the most widely-spread version for the English/Western audience and was the introduction and main source of content for ORV for these people. And the MTL used the versions of the names that are used within our reTL. We decided to keep these versions of the names (as opposed to the official spellings) because the MTL's versions are the spellings used most often within the western fandom spaces. If you're looking for the most content for the character "Yu Junghyeok" in western fandom, you're not going to find it under that spelling (Though you will absolutely find some!). A majority of the content is gonna be under "Yoo Joonghyuk".
We kept the old versions of the names for the sake of consistency and with the expectation that in the future new fans will be introduced into the fandom with our reTL. While we do prefer the official spellings of the names, we chose to go with the old versions so that newer fans can integrate into older fandom spaces easier and with less confusion. We provided the alternate official spellings so that readers will know.
