Hi, I'm a psychology student interested in neuroscience and I have a few questions. I know that you probably don't have any knowledge on neuroscience, but if you don't mind answering my questions I'd really appreciate it! :) Do you have phantom limb pain in your tail, etc? If someone stepped on your tail, would you feel it as soon as they stepped on it, or not until you noticed that they were stepping on it? Also, have you always identified as a snow leopard? Thanks so much! :)
I donât mind at all :3 (I actually love neuroscience, by the way)
Usually my phantom limbs pass through objects, but sometimes they react as though they are physically present, and during those times I do not need to be looking to âfeelâ my surroundings with them. If I concentrated on sensing with them more it would probably happen more often (or even become constant like it is with a friend of mine), but my tail and wings are way too large for that to be comfortable.
Most of the time if someone steps on my tail it feels weird and thereâs an expectation of pain but nothing ârealâ happens; Iâve only had it really hurt once, and it was sore for days afterwords (in that case I was also not looking at where my tail was; it took me a minute to realize what had happened). My wings also tend to feel sore when I am tired and/or sick, but since thereâs nothing I can do about that I tend to ignore it.
I have identified as a feline for as long as I can remember, but I didnât recognize that it wasnât ânormalâ until age ten or so. When I was little I used to ask people what animal they were and got confused when they didnât have an answer ^^;
