It was almost like Alex had a sixth sense for when someone was staring at her and she turned, a small smile playing on her lips, while Veronica turned away a little too quickly, a blush rising up her cheeks.  “I know the view is pretty good. But it’s better close up.” Alex said, her raspy voice suddenly close to her, and Veronica turned to face her. She swallowed, mouth suddenly dry as Alex took her hand and wrapped her arms around her waist and lead them in a slow sway, the prewar songs about love and romance playing softly around them.  When the sun was close to setting, Alex leaned forward and pressed a gentle kiss to Veronica’s lips, placing a gentle hand to her cheek.  “Go get some sleep sweet cheeks. We’ve got a lot of people to talk to tomorrow.” She murmured, turning and leaving Veronica standing there, mouth open and heart hammering away in her chest.
