So, I watched another youtube video (link) by ryan robinson

Main points:

there are doers and be-ers

some people always need to do something and some people can just be, like a cat which just exists

if you just exist you be doing stuff cause you want to, instead of because you need to, or feel the need to

Makes me think. I'm a doer, learning to BE more. I've been learning a bunch of random things about myself lately. Makes me realize that with all things i'm doing in my free time, I'm always searching for a deeper meaning in the patterns of the world. What makes people act certain ways, what makes things happen. Always searching for that truth. I don't know what that has to do with the video. Maybe that I want to create more. This tumblr is sort of a very crappy way of getting my voice out there. Not that anybody listens or i have anything interesting to say. But then i just watched another youtuber with more than 50k followers who just documented his way (tbf in a very artsy manner) of being unemployed and gallivanting around london. And that makes me think, that I really don't give a damn of whether anybody finds this interesting. Maybe this is just a writing exercise. Point is to create not consume. That's the underlying current in my life. Trying to create something but being stuck consuming. And then calling that consumption the creation of knowledge, although I really don't retain any of the information. Or maybe i do in some unconscious way.

When is consumption ever creation? Maybe listening to music or art? But then if you look at a piece of art, are you consuming it? Where is the line between consuming and art?

Maybe its the process of interaction. If you just consume media, you rarely interact with it, you just sit there and let it fill your thoughts. But then that also kind of happens, when you look at a painting, clear your mind, let it impress on you. Is there an interaction between you and that piece of painting? Probably not a physical one, at most one on the level of the soul maybe. It reflecting some form of underlying pattern of reality, a glimpse into the mind of the artist, a touching of souls. That connection creating some form of insight in you, that cannot be expressed by rational language. Is that art?
