Newson/Sell, Day 83, Part 5
Zeke was against the idea of having a sister, but warmed to Indi a little after she arrived, although they’re not friends yet. He’s still apt to be jealous, and has been dead set against the idea of a brother in case he has to share his room. His initial relationship toward Olivia was in the mid-twenties, but he had a negative starting relationship with Asa. I forsee trouble!
I’m wondering what to do about the bedroom situation here. This house has five bedrooms - currently Ryan and Ginger have the master, which is bigger and has an ensuite. The other four rooms are all 4x5 and make use of the two family bathrooms. Currently Shawn has one, Rosanna and Stephen have one, Zeke has one, and fourth used to be Rosanna and Stephen’s study/hobbies room but is now a nursery. Indi and the twins fit comfortably in there at the moment, but it’s not a long term solution.
Shawn goes to college in two rotations time, when Asa and Via grow to toddler. So options:
Zeke keeps his room, Indi and Via share, Asa has his own room (this would be completely fine if the rooms were different sizes, but feels a bit unequal when the girls would be sharing the same size room that the boys would have all to themselves).
The boys share and the girls share, and Rosanna and Stephen get their study back. This option seems fairer but Zeke is not going to see it that way. Also, there’s a six year age gap between him and Asa.
Ryan and Ginger move out into one of the smaller rooms and the girls have the master bedroom. It would make sense for them to have biggest room if they’re sharing and the boys have their own rooms, but they don’t really need the ensuite.
Rosanna, Stephen and their children move out into a new house. It would probably be four bedrooms, with smaller rooms for Zeke and Asa and a bigger one the girls could share. Ryan and Ginger would be alone in a big house for a while, but Shawn could move back in after college.
Ryan and Ginger move out to a smaller place for just the two of them. Rosanna and Stephen move into their room and then the kids each have their own rooms. Ryan and Ginger’s place could be big enough for Shawn too, or have the option to extend after he graduates.
Obviously, it doesn’t really matter and I’m massively overthinking it, but that’s my style! What do you think they should do?
