Ceasefire Day 76 | Day 114 US-Israel war with Iran (Operation Epic Fury / Operation Roaring Lion) - June 22, 2026

1. A High Level Committee to oversee mediation and a “line of communication” to manage incidents in the Strait of Hormuz are being set up according to mediators Qatar and Pakistan. Technical talks will continue this week in Switzerland.

2. The US and Iran agreed to create a “de-confliction cell,” to ensure the end of military operations in Lebanon. Fighting between Israel and Iran-backed Hezbollah has been a key obstacle to a deal, with Tehran insisting that deadly Israeli strikes must stop according to mediators Qatar and Pakistan.

3. Earlier, President Donald Trump provoked Iran’s chief negotiator by issuing threats against the Tehran delegation, causing talks to stall. Trump warned that the U.S. could resume airstrikes on Iran and “take over” the Strait of Hormuz if no agreement is reached.
