@rxdmn continued from {x}
It’s not that often that the piano bar is closed before midnight. After all, more than half of its clientele didn’t walk the streets of Seoul until late night. But this time it’s not a drinking night, there’s no performances planned for the evening and all the guests are requested to leave early. All but one that was now occupying his usual place by the piano. And for Lucifer, it felt nice to take a place of the audience for a change.
He watched the woman closely, his attention on the fingers which ran against the keys, and he smiled -- a bitter smile of the male who has wasted too many summers. This summer, he has barely even existed in the world. It went by when he was outside of the Creation, travelled through Undertime and Undermatter and into the Void. To him, that summer did not even exist -- he had missed the chance of feeling the rays of sun upon his skin, missed the warmth and brightness of long days. “No,” he finally replied. “I suppose not. Perhaps even less than anyone else. I would regret it, but it won’t bring those days back.”
starter.@rxdmn ‣ the weather today is calm and sunny, but the air is full of bullshit.
“Suppose there’s a set of twins, where one of them always tells the truth, and the other one always lies. Suppose one of them dies tragically, how much do you bet the other one’s going to say the truth at all times, despite whatever his condition was prior to the murder of his brother?”
He’s so eager to hear the answer, his balled fists look like a Christmas tree’s decorations. Once they turn green, it’s time to call a doctor; other than himself. A doctor for live patients. Especially not him. He’s trying to sound intimidating, and while his tone is no joke, who would engage in an aggressive (one-sided) back-and-forth with customized riddles that direct to one and only answer without any authentic reflecting? The only thing he’s done thus far is sound like an angry mother who asks rhetoric questions and awaits responses.
The my-reality-is-the-only-reality kind of mom.
“Right, he’s going to say the truth.” Forget about her reply- he doesn’t want to hear it. Ever asked a student their name? Statistics show that twelve out of five are going to pretend they’re someone else. Just for the fun of it. The fun of it. Fucking teens and their genetically implemented lust for anarchy and rebellion. Given, some are dickheads just because they love being dickheads (facts backed up by unbiased sources; ie Sunggyu’s opinions), and while a good beating could fix it (see: previous unbiased source), the consequences are far worse. Not worth it. You just go with the new system- talking them out of being annoying.
Anyway, good luck.
“In case you’re not-- you’re not getting it, you’re going to have to...not lie to me here.” He stamps a polaroid in the hand of the female in front of him, eyes playing the bad cop game. On the picture: a cute (subjective), young couple, laughing or screaming, it’s hard to guess with the younger generation nowadays. “Why did you kill the boy on this photo?”
Boom. That was one kidney stone squeezed out. Forget that he has no leads, no clues and no witnesses. He’s just playing cop father teacher. Because sure, students can be a pain in the internal area of the anus up to your guts, you just can’t help but take care of them. Like, good care. Poor Elisa, found out her boyfriend died after her teacher, the grand Sunggyu, found a polaroid of them in the wallet of a corpse he had to, uh, check out. Corpse finally being identified as said boyfriend, of course.
Back to miss twins’ riddle though. A quick glance at the screen of his phone and he mutters out “Scarlett.” The current status of this under-the-table case is that whoever took this polaroid “...looks exactly like you and is named Scarlett.”
Thus. Murderer.
“T-T-- before trying to explain anything, miss, how and why do you even know one of my students? Is she doing well? I mean, she does do her homework usually, it’s just that sometimes it’s not even her handwriting. I’m gonna ask you to write a sample letter to me, because you know, it’s illegal to do someone else’s graded homework.”
Thus, the real problem, and the second kidney stone pissed out.
@rxdmn:
Sometimes Kuro truly wanted to sit down and think hard about the shit he does on the daily. Sure, he saved lives during the day, murdered cops at night, collected dough for years and yet-- he found himself staring up at the building he has now dubbed 'storage unit'. A place that’s somewhat a safe haven yet somewhere he would have never visited if it wasn’t from a friend. An idiotic asswipe of a friend but a friend nonetheless. The girls address had been engraved into his mind from the months he spent here counting his cash. Raising a hand he delivers two sharp knocks to the front door, feet shuffling a bit to keep the small amount of warmth his scarf was giving. It was too fucking cold out. He understood it was October but this was a bit ridiculous.
rxdmn replied to your post “yeah, it was worth a shot.”

[ TXT ] ... i dunno, there's a feeling within me. im getting this.. somewhat strange presence. is olympia coming over..?
there was one small thing that bothered him about texting. it was the nervewrecking fact that you couldn't see exactly what the sender is doing at the time of the text. a husband could text his wife, "they told me to stay for overtime. sorry i cant come come home," but in reality, he's just out with his female coworkers drinking or a teenage girl could tell her friends, "i'm sick and lying in bed.. sorry can't come to the party :(," but in reality, she's just finding excuses to sleep in. it was scenes like this of worst case scenarios that led him to text his beloved roommate with such utter nervousness and apprehension, slowly beginning to lose trust in the other.
[ TXT ] you’re not at the supermarket rn, are you??
