What's the lore between Orche and Monk?
Oh yes! The lore! Uhm. Hmmmm...
Honestly, I haven't thought about the lore between the two of them as much as I could have. I suppose there are a few things that I can think of, though.
Ochre either didn't have a pack or had been separated from his previous one before meeting Monk, and since orange lizards are social creatures, he got attached to Monk pretty quickly after they met. Monk probably also latched on pretty quick for similar reasons, they were both pretty lonely before meeting each other.
An idea I latched onto that I find slightly funny is Monk helping Ochre get bottom surgery. To explain: both Monk and Ochre are supposed to be transgender, (transfem and transmasc respectively,) and while they would have both already be identifying as their chosen genders when they met, Ochre would still be struggling with bottom dysphoria. After learning this though, Monk would, of course, bring him to the giant machine god in the sky in order to ask them for some gender-affirming care.
Something else that I do want to put out there in some capacity is that I see Monk and Ochre's relationship as romantic to some capacity. Not sure how much of that idea I will post on here though, since I feel like people would get angry at me for posting scug x lizard ship stuff.
