In my absence from this site over the last few weeks, I totally forgot that I had meant to post these pictures from something new I’ve been trying - astrophotography! (Completely inspired by playing Mass Effect 😉). The first image was taken July 27/19, and the other two were taken on August 4/19.

Mimi first meets Uriek when he came into the clinic she was filling in for in the sorta town the Wraiths have built on Virmire. She usually works with Mordin’s nephew, Ehilu, in his clinic in the military facility, but she is friends with the doctors at the city clinic and was happy to fill in.

Uriek was in a bar fight, or more, he was beaten up outside a bar. He’ll be the first to admit he was an overall shit person in his youth and young adulthood and he did some bad things to get what he wanted (which was usually drugs). That left a lot of grudges that still haunt him, one of those being with a turian dealer that hunted him down to the more seedier of bars. Uriek owed some money and, while he paid it then and there, he was made an example out of and a bit of a victim of the dealer’s anger that he lost a good, high paying customer in Uriek.

Pretty much, Mimi patched him up but tricked him into leaving with her after her shift to go to a coffee shop saying she’d buy him a meal. Though hesitant, he accepted because it’d been a while and, during their meal, she was actually pretty good company. He liked to listen to her talk and treat him like any normal person instead of damaged goods, so he even let her have his number after the meal (to ‘check up’ on him). 

Over time, she’d message him little trivial stuff like ‘hope you’re having a good day’ or ‘I think I found a good turian place we should go to’ and she definitely had a knack for making it less like she was his doctor and more his friend. He softened up to her and when he gained the confidence, even courted her with flowers, presents, and foods he ‘tried’ to cook, but eventually just bought so he didn’t give her food poisoning or anything. She was actually the one to say ‘let’s be a couple’ after he sort of seemed to be lost after what came next after the wooing part.

“Grey - T like’s to say silver, the dork. Left eyes white tho, since, y’know... blindness does that.”

“Mum and Pop were taken by Collectors - no other family to speak of.”

"Cerberus didn’t exactly allow pets, y’know? I’d love a dog, someday. We’ll see if we survive the Reapers, I guess? T, quit it with the looks.”

“Adjutants. Creepy ass motherfucking monsters.”

11. Do you have any activities/hobbies that you like to do?

“Does siccing my drone on people that tick me off count? No? Well, fuck. I like tweaking my omni - installing new tech and trying to get more power out of it. Pissing off T’s pretty fun, too.”

12. Have you ever hurt anyone in any way before?

Regan goes quiet for a moment. “...I didn’t think I had, not really. Got into scuffs as a kid, stupid shit every colony kid does, right? And then Cerberus... I thought we were helping. It was a good job, a way out of Terminus - I’m good with tech, I was just setting up security systems, never on the front lines. I didn’t... I didn’t know what they were doing with those things-”

Teegan hums comfortingly, setting a hand on her shoulder. “Wasn’t your fault, Ree.”

“Fucking feels like my fault.”

13. Ever… killed anyone before?

“A couple of Cerberus troopers, once I joined in with the Talons. That’s it - adjutants don’t count.”

14. What kind of animal are you?

"The fuck?? Why would I?? I don’t fucking know - a cat, I guess??? Cause if I could just chill in a corner and be left alone, I would be fucking stoked.”

15. Name your worst habits?

“Perfectionism? With my omni, and my biotics... I’m bad for constantly speccing my visor, actually, trying to make up for the blindness.”

“You also tend to apologize for everything.” Teegan drawls, earning a smack.

“I fucking do not!”

16. Do you look up to anyone at all?

“I mean, Nyreen’s pretty cool - she let me stay with the Talons, and convinced Aria I wasn’t a threat. Shepard’s pretty damn badass, too.”

17. Are you gay, straight or bisexual?

*noncommital shrug* Bi? Maybe?

18. Do you go to school?

“I did, briefly - just as a kid on the colony.”

19. Ever want to marry and have kids one day?

“Ehhhhh, can’t say I’ve thought about any of that crap, honestly.”

“The fuck? I fucking hope not.”

21. What are you most afraid of?

"Fucking adjutants.” Regan catches a look from Teegan and grumbles, “And... maybe being alone.”

22. What do you usually wear?

“Always used to be Cerberus standard engineer wear - with a bit more give for my biotics. Now I’ve got Talon armor.”

23. What’s one food that tempts you?

"Coffee counts as food, right?”

24. Am I annoying to you?

“Yes.”

25. Well, it’s still not over!

“Fucking yay.”

26. What class are you (low/middle/high)?

“Gonna say middle class - I hoarded all my paychecks from Cerberus. Once I’m off Omega, I’ll be able to survive for a while, at least.”

27. How many friends do you have?

"Oi, Teegan! We’re friends, right?”

An amused snort answers her.

“So, one. Kind of.”

28. What are your thoughts on pie?

“Mama’s pie was delicious, when she wasn’t drunk. Pie’s great.”

29. Favorite drink?

“Coffee.”

30. What’s your favorite place?

“Wherever it’s quiet and I can be alone.”

31. Are you interested in anyone?

Regan silently shoots a glance at the turian sitting behind her, too busy cleaning his rifle to notice. She looks back and rolls her eyes. “Not answering that out loud.”

32. That was a stupid question…

“Uh, yeah.”

33. Would you rather swim in a lake or the ocean?

“I’ve never done either - maybe some day I can convince T to go to a beach with me.”

34. What’s your type?

“Hmmmmmmm nope not answering that. For multiple reasons.”

35. Any fetishes?

"Fuck you.”

36. Camping or outdoors?

“Gonna say outside, never been camping - but outside was safe, back in the old days. Not as much anymore, but... the memories still there.”
