watched rvb restoration and im kind of finally realizing rvb is like... OVER over. like forever permanently over never coming back again ever OVER.

in a way restoration brings a sense of closure, but its a final nail in the 23-something-year-old-coffin sense of permanent closure

i will say this though, at least in my opinion, its the best ending rvb could get. im just sad to see it go.

and yeah ik restoration came out a while ago it just took me a while to get to it.

i just.... wish tucker had a bigger part? ik he was the new meta 2.0 but that was the meta, like the ai, not actually tucker himself. he did close it off though, ill give him that.

also

where on EARTH (or whatever planet/halo ring) was donut? he was in ONE memory and that was IT?? i mean yeah he and doc had a knack for randomly going missing, but this is the finale man could you at least show up to that....?? idk (also rip doc, didnt even know you were dead but bye ig). maybe theres some actual explanation for his one single memory scene. idk.

and yeah i get the whole "griff goes awol back to earth" fits his character but breaking up the grimmons duo?? man seriously??? that goes against like... all the rules of the universe... simmons should have gone awol too........... whats left to fight anymore, the covenant?

i did love the closure for tex and church, or allison and leonard, as they were in their final moments together. i admit it shocked the fuck out of me when caboose stomped on the.. container.. thingy.. but it really felt like the right thing to do, in-universe and thematically.

maybe rvb is over forever... maybe they do a spin-off... idk. considering restoration tied up most endings, i dont think theres really much left to do (minus like, junior spin-off, seriously burnie hit me up, my boy deserves the limelight). despite what it lacked, i couldnt be anymore satisfied with and ending.

its like they say, memory is the key. dont be sad it ended. be happy it happened (and ran for as long as it did, jesus). and it will always be with you in your memory

and if you REALLY miss it, like BAD bad, MAKE YOUR OWN RVB!!!!!!!! MAKE YOUR OWN STORIES IN THE RED VS BLUNIVERSE. OR MAYBE NOT IN THE RED VS BLUNIVERSE. MAYBE MAKE YOUR OWN RED VS BLUNIVERSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! if some drunk guys goofing around on halo ce could make a series this good and keep it going for like 23 FUCKING YEARS im SURE as FUCK you could too.
