Even though Donut from rvb was never confirmed asexual, I still think his character is amazing asexual representation. He’s never infantilized, and he doesn’t show discomfort or ignorance around sexual topics. In fact, he’s one of the characters that makes sexual innuendos the most—something that, in my experience, is very common among people that are aspec.
I also like how his relationship with Doc is kept open-ended and never confirmed to be platonic, romantic, or sexual. They are simply dudes that lived together for a time. This leaves a lot of room for interpretation, and allows any aspec identity to be explored within their relationship. You think they’re both aspec and in a qpr? Great! You think they’re dating but don’t have a sexual relationship? Spectacular! You think Donut is sex neutral/positive and they do have a sexual relationship? Amazing! There is just so much here. So many dynamics that wouldn’t stray from canon at all. And I freaking love it.
I also just really really like Donut.
