==> Kai gets a message from Meenah to come pick Cronus up, that he needs help. She's near Cronus whos unconcious with his wounds stitched up by her powers and covered by her godtier cloak. When she sees Kai coming she leaves Cronus' side and heads off back home and leaves Cronus to him
> Anyone being hurt on LOVAC - their supposed safe place at this point - sets off Kai’s alarm bells and he heads to Meenah and Cronus as quickly as he possibly can. He sees blood on Meenah and feels his panic begin to bubble to the surface, but she’s gone before he can catch her and try to do anything about it.
> This has to have something to do with her matesprit being here. There’s nothing else it could be. Panic and anger and worry all simmer as he gazes after her for a moment longer than he should have, then turns his attention to Cronus. His pumper aches and he crouches beside him, looking him over for injuries left behind before anything else. He’s not Kankri, he can’t bring back the dead. His healing powers are shit. He hates himself for not being more useful - he should be able to do more. He should be more.
> Gathering up the warmblood and tucking the cloak around him, Kai holds him close and pumps his wings to carry them both back to his hive. Meenah won’t let him follow and help and that has warning alarms screeching in his head. Leave no one in danger, protect everyone they have left. But she’s strong, and Cronus is important to him in other ways, so he lays him out on the couch.
> Retrieving a wet cloth and first aid supplies, Kai begins to clean him up and treat any wounds left behind the old fashioned way.
