He knew she was near and he really did not want to snap at her, even by accident. His temper hadn't cooled at all today, but his headache was better and he just wanted Zal to know she was still loved with a silent kiss. He was utterly wordless, trying to keep himself low energy unless he gave himself a flare up with his conditions.
The man loved her endlessly, he really, truly, did not want to be someone who also hurt her. So really, this was all he could offer at the moment, he would make up for it later when he was better. It was a silent promise.
He stroked her cheek softly, tenderly. One more kiss on her forehead, before he turned back to his documents, wanting to get this particular mess out of his way.
Zal wasn't a cure for everything but she could at least ease some of his pain. Being in charge of the Rust Syndicate wasn't for the faint of heart - as faint as his heart sometimes was - but he supported her, so she would support him all the same.
She puts down a mug of tea on the desk. Out of the way of his organization. She holds his hand against her face as a quiet reply to his promise.
Zalaia had errands to run herself, so she could pick up a few things for him for the evening. No sense in stressing him out more. So she leaves his office quietly. If she's in the building, it'll give him something to worry about.
There was also someone else who had seemed to been annoying him lately so perhaps she could look in to a few hooligans on her own.
