Rushy - LDN [Video]
UK rapper Rushy shares ‘LDN‘, out now via his label Rushaan Savoury. Arriving with a cinematic music video filmed throughout the capital city, it’s the latest single taken from Rushy’s upcoming mixtape, coming in late August. ‘LDN’ is a raw ode to London youth culture from the unapologetically British rapper. The track is an evolution of grime, with him using slang associated with old-school…
Rushy drops new single ‘Faces’ with Romy Jo
West London artist Rushy has dropped new single ‘Faces’, featuring fellow S3 collective member Romy Jo, out 15th May via Mixtape Madness. Taken from his hotly anticipated forthcoming EP ‘Stress 3’, ‘Faces’ combines Rushy’s trademark hard-hitting lyrics with Romy’s smooth, autotune vocals and a sparse trap beat that lets the bars take centre stage. It follows the nostalgic vibes of standalone March single ‘S3 Way’, with ‘Stress 3’ set for release in late June. Rushy’s exciting start to the new decade follows on from an incredible 2019 that saw debut single ‘Trippidy Trap’ accumulate 3.4 million YouTube views and 6.6 million Spotify streams. He also collaborated with UK Rap household name producer Nyge on ‘ATM’ and joined the ever-elusive M Huncho on his ‘Utopia’ tour alongside the likes of Nafe Smalls and Mastermind. Solidifying his presence, Rushy freestyled for Tiffany Calver on BBC Radio 1Xtra, since accumulating 19.7K Instagram followers, over 10 million Spotify streams and over 5 million YouTube hits. Marking the start of a new chapter in Rushy’s exciting story, ‘Faces’ looks destined to propel his ascent through the ranks. NEW VIDEO: DEEDS - 'Rushy'
When DEEDS's debut track ‘Video Dreams’ and its accompanying visuals were unveiled almost two months ago, they unearthed desires of nostalgic trips of unheard and unseen clarity. The Electronic project, devised by ex-I Ching Rollo Smallcombe, seems to be the perfect vehicle and at the same time highway for any time-travelling listener or viewer into a zone in which different cinematographic and music eras merge together into an indiscernible and majestic “past”.
DEEDS now returns with his latest offering of media ancestry, with the track ‘Rushy’ and its visuals. While ‘Video Dreams’ was a somewhat bipolar track, with its gloomy opening and ecstatic closing, and with a sound that could easily sit between the 70s and 80s, ‘Rushy’ seems to slowly wade across time through an enclosure filled with formaldehyde.
The 808-synthesised rhythm section and unsettling bass line, along with the isolated, rippling synths, emanate the experimental nature of early 80s Electronica and House music, slowly developing and gradually changing, while the breakdown, with its wooing keyboard refrain seems more apt for an early 90s House jam. Paired with the once again perfectly-picked clips, a mixture of Sci Fi classics, natural history documentaries and unknown material, ‘Rushy’ makes for another, sometimes chilling, journey.

it's always great to see changes around WCRPG. I especially love the recent activity boost in PhantomClan. I can remember when it was just me, Alberta, Spirit, Blue, Inky, and Cinder <3 Keep up the great work everyone! -Rushy
