Only just noticed that I used the same clipart chip asset for the blog background that's used for the cover of this bag. Fun coincidence.

Sour cream, onion AND chives. We call it "grass onion" here so the name combo is pretty funny that way. I completely missed when these stopped appearing in stores, but based on social media posts it seems to be around 2022.

I used to buy these often. They had the thin and flaky type of structure, but were usually small enough to fit into your mouth whole. Less crumbs, works for me.

Chives might sound like an unnecessary addition to something with onion in it already, but a bit of an extra green could actually be pretty nice at least visually. For these however, chives is listed at the very bottom of the ingredient list, which in EU terms means it is the least plentiful ingredient, even below acidity regulators and sugar. So how much did they actually have? Very, very little.

The flavor profile as a result was pretty average. They were far from tasteless but nothing remarkable.
