Progress, been a difficult few weeks, but my latest visit to physio was very positive. One wedge out of the boot & in trainers (with wedge) for exercises. Once a day only, in boot rest of the time, but progress. Seven weeks in & Achilles healing well. Another wedge out next week & back to physio the week after. Hopefully final wedge out & next set of exercises. Hopeful static bike is allowed, & I should have a date for swimming. I know I’ll not be running until after Xmas, likely feb as I need 8-10 weeks rehab to get everything back to full strength before I’m back pounding the street. I’ll be starting from scratch with a couch to 5km. I think it is the sensible thing to do. I was going really well though September eating sensibility & losing weight, not so good since the start of October. I think this is a little reset for me to get back on it! However I have entered the London 22 ballot. If I get in I’ll have a great goal to keep up the training. If not I’ll pick a autumn half & then a spring 23 marathon. The third pic might seem a little different, but just a reminder we are facing a climate crisis! Reduce use of fossil fuels & embrace renewables. Not a cure all, but part of the solution. #injuredrunner #rehab #progressreport #runscapes #lonelygoatrunningclub #weightlossjourney #addias #lonelygoatrc #poole #positiveattitude (at Poole, Dorset) https://www.instagram.com/p/CVFgOEgI6j1/?utm_medium=tumblr
