When I think of my journey with Endometriosis, I am surprised how far I’ve come. 18 times under anesthesia, 6 bladder procedures, 9 pelvic trigger point injections, uncountable sections of tissue removed, removal of my endometrium, missing Fallopian tubes, uncountable ovarian cysts (many that ruptured sending me to the ER), the countless drugs (I won’t even start on the 6+ months experience with Lupron), all the pelvic physical therapy, pelvic reconstruction, and more excisions. And just when I thought I couldn’t take anymore, I had almost half my pancreas removed and small intestines resectioned to save my life and add to my hormone problems making me a T3c diabetic. It has taken a lot of work to get to where I am now. Today, Endometriosis didn’t win. I did. And I am proud to have raised $1900 for the Endometriosis Foundation of America. Thanks to everyone that supported me today. We are making strides to increasing education, finding better treatments, and hopefully a cure someday! #teamendofound #runwithus #runrocknroll #endometriosis #endochampion #endowarrior💛 #endometriosisawareness #endofoundrunner (at Millennium Park) https://www.instagram.com/p/B0LpIFHgU_f/?igshid=dnuthuy54jux
