Some days you come in hitting on all cylinders, training on point, and confident of a PR. Today was not one of those days. My 1:29:03 mark is still quite safe. Training and fitness were nowhere near what I had hoped for and I worried that I would put up a big stinker today. But I battled those demons, pushed the envelop just a tiny bit and for where I am right now, ran a smart and tough race. Based on current fitness I had no business breaking 1:40 today. But I wasn’t having that today. Nope. Congrats to all my @trottin_oxen teammates! And so cool to see @elizabethclor and @drjiveturkey at the start and @bschendell I saw Max at the finish! #runblr #fitblr #richmondhalfmarathon2018 #trottinoxen #runrichmond #oxenrunrichmond https://www.instagram.com/p/BqAUILaB-p_/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=mpwq6khcoyko
