the dude just shut everything down, stood up, and asked me if i was going to be in here for awhile. i told him i was. he then asked me to watch his stuff while he goes to get something to eat. since i’m already in here and the door has an electronic lock on it, i was like “sure.” i’m not actually watching his shit; i’m just in here. whatever.

But that, in a way, is exactly my point.   It reveals that they don’t really have an argument. They know that their version of the events on the show is not what happened; they know that their views on character aren’t supported by what was seen.  I think that at their base, they simply don’t like what I have to say because they don’t have a real counter-argument to it, so they attack.  They attack with insults, with outrageous slurs, with doublethink.  Because attacking is better than admitting that they might have to reexamine their own convictions.

(And I know the show is long over, but this behavior will continue to be repeated long into the future unless people stand up to it.)
