Tuesday is rest day. And today I really needed it. Both mentally and physically. Not all days are easy and PMS is kicking my ass this month. Please send love, hugs, coffee and chocolate ❤️
I’m just checking in, I haven’t logged onto here in quite awhile. For the most part life is good, work and family are really good, and the photography is starting to take off. But as for fitness, I’m just holding my ground, managing to workout about twice a week, not losing progress, not making any either. And for some reason that makes me avoid tumblr. I’m doing ok, and hopefully I’ll be in a position where I feel I have more to share soon.
It honestly amazes me sometimes that anyone follows my blog in the first place, and then that some of you actually read what I write, and then sometimes some of you hit that heart button, and beyond belief that you sometimes reply and send encouraging words and support.
It really makes a difference, I just want you to know that. Keep doing that for each other, you are helping people more than you know. You are all great!
I get a lot of inspiration, ideas, support, and caring here, but sometimes my dash is a little dead, and I’d like to find more. I’d like to find even more blogs run by real people who share their own original thoughts. If you post something of your own at least a few times a week, and it has anything to do with bettering yourself in any way, I’d love to follow you. And it doesn’t have to all be pie in the sky, life is great stuff either. I do want to hear about the successes and accomplishments, but I also want to follow people who can be real and talk about how hard it can be sometimes to work on improving themselves, and who can talk about the times things aren’t going well and they need to vent or to hear a kind word.
The journey to health and fitness isn’t easy for most of us, it’s a lot of damn hard work, and I think it helps a lot to be surrounded by people who know this and aren’t afraid to talk about it.

I’m going to be honest, going to the gym today was not easy. I blew off my first alarm, and barely got out of bed for my second alarm. While getting ready I kept thinking how much I needed more sleep and how easy it would be to go back to bed. But I kept pushing forward, and went to the gym, and did an hour on the bike. I didn’t PR, but I wasn’t too far off either. The time didn’t fly by, but it didn’t drag either. And afterwards I was full of energy! Kidding! I was still dead tired and sitting here at work, drinking tea, I still want to go back to bed.
But you know what? I’m glad I went. I had zero motivation today, but I had discipline, and it got me through. Tonight I’ll go to bed early and get extra sleep, and tomorrow when that alarm goes off, I’ll do battle again and we’ll see which side wins. But more and more the side that is fighting for my life is winning, and I’m getting results. The workout that was sort of half-assed today would have been impossible just 8 weeks ago. And that’s how I know I’m getting healthier, and that’s what keeps me going back.
Hey everyone! Sorry I’ve been absent! Life and work have just been really busy the past couple weeks, and I haven’t had a lot to post about, and I was out of state for a little while visiting my son and his family, but I’ll be back soon, probably after Easter. I just logged in and saw I had a couple nice notes checking in on me, so I thought I better let you know that I’m alive and well. I’ll be answering my messages and replying to mentions this weekend. I hope you’re all doing great! And I may have some exciting news about my photography, I’ll know by the end of the day if an opportunity is going to workout for me or not. :)
I am inspired by healthy but still average looking guys, not bulked out professional body builders. I don’t have the time or desire to workout 6 hours a day, I need to be inspired by healthy, fit looking men who may have an hour a day for working out.
