Decided to plan my running training out
I want to become stronger, faster, better in my running as well as OCRs. For the last 4 months Iβve been using my position as a run leader to let my own running slide - by keeping myself back a few pace groups to encourage others and get them to their goals.
Whilst I will still be doing this at sessions I need to make sure this doesnβt affect me, by doing my own training outside of these sessions.
Last Saturdayβs 5k time, when I was pushing myself, was 55 secs slower than my parkrun pb. I want to eventually break through the sub-25 minute 5k barrier but at the moment I hit over 26 minutes :/.
So I am planning my own hill training sessions, my own interval sessions, trail runs, long runs (to and from group run sessions), as well as keeping my kickboxing and kettlebell sessions... and the most important Rest Day!
My food intake is healthy, but not restrictive as I still need to keep my body fuelled up for my activities.
This afternoon after work is my first serious Interval Training session :/
