Got in a few miles for the first time since this weekend's ultra distance event. Legs felt a little sluggish after a few days off but fell in line pretty well.

Happy National Trails Day! My favorite day of running every year put on by Raritan Valley Road Runners. Three busses taking runners to meet up with five different pace "trains" chugging down the trail picking up more folks to join in. My 5th time doing the whole distance, but the 2am alarm for the 3am bus and is always jarring!

A few trail miles as a final shoe break in for Saturdays ultra distance event. Mid 80s but super low humidity made for a very enjoyable run down the canal tow path.

A few easy miles after work. I chose the warmest part of the day to get more acclimated to the heat. That should come in handy for an upcoming trail ultra event that looks like it'll be in some some hot conditions. The heat acclimation widget on my Garmin Fenix 8 is a really useful tool that shows me currently at 40% acclimated...more work to do!

Rain and holiday weekend BBQ plans forced my long run to Monday, but ended up with some decent weather for a long run. Wanted to get one four hour run in during this training cycle, so mission accomplished and on to tapering!
