Aprilia asks Series owners to review Rulebook after Marc Marquez’s controversial Spanish GP Sprint 2026 Win
Aprilia has reportedly asked the series owners to review the rulebook following Marc Marquez’s controversial Sprint victory at the 2026 Spanish GP in Jerez.
Marc Marquez managed to win the Sprint race despite crashing earlier in the event, but the circumstances surrounding the incident quickly sparked debate. After crashing near the Long Lap area, Marquez rode through the grass and entered the pit lane. Something the current regulations do not clearly define. The rules do not specifically state which route a rider must take when entering the pits, creating a grey area in the regulations.
According to reports, Aprilia protested the result and requested that championship organisers clarify the rules regarding pit lane entry. The manufacturer is pushing for clearer wording in the rulebook to avoid similar controversies in the future.
I just finishwd organizing the skeleton of a document to make the Anevicons' code of conduct—why was it genuinely fun??
Isn't documenting stuff like a rulebook supposed to be stressful? Or am I feeling like this cuz it was only four pages, even tho we plan for more?
Anyway im gonna study the F1 rulebook and others to have a better reference if you excuse me
