❛  𝐖𝐇𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐀𝐓  .  .  .  !?   they  can't  just  end  it  like  that,  𝙲𝙰𝙽 𝚃𝙷𝙴𝚈  !?  ❜  braided  tresses,  once  tranquil  down  the  center  of  her  back,  whip  in  the  direction  of  her  room-mate  .  .  .  —  –  a  near  direct  hit  against  the  pinkette's  cheek.  ❛  three  seasons.  a  shocking  finale .  .  .   𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐘'𝐑𝐄 𝐑𝐄𝐓𝐈𝐑𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐒𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐄𝐒  ?  —  –  ❜  counting  against  her  fingers  whilst  she  speaks,  palms  jolt  upward  concealing  the  ‘anguish’  spreading across  aerith's  features,  coming  to  realize  their  week-night  show  had  now  𝚌𝚘𝚗𝚌𝚕𝚞𝚍𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚒𝚗𝚍𝚎𝚏𝚒𝚗𝚒𝚝𝚎𝚕𝚢. 

❛  wellll  .  .  .  guess  that  means  we'll  just  have  to  𝐅𝐈𝐍𝐃 𝐒𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐍𝐄𝐖 𝐓𝐎 𝐖𝐀𝐓𝐂𝐇  !   how  about  this  time  —  –  we  watch  something  a  little  more  mushy.  i  love  watching  those  little  clips  of  shows  online,❜  spoken  whilst  digits  dig  within  brown  tresses  for  the  elastic  securing  her  braid,  aerith's  gaze  shift's  from  her  room-mate  to  the  patterned  material  of  her  pyjamas  —  –  well,  𝙻𝙸𝙶𝙷𝚃𝙽𝙸𝙽𝙶'𝚂 𝙿𝚈𝙹𝙰𝙼𝙰𝚂.  they're  far  from  the  aesthetic  she's used to  wearing:  plaid  stripes  of  navy  blue +  soft-grey  travel  the  full-pant  leg  of  the  garment,  leaving  horizontal  whites  to  match  the  spaghetti  strapped  top  covering  her  bare  chest.  but  as  the  militia's  scent  continuously  enters  her  nostrils  with  every  slight  movement  .  .  .  𝐒𝐇𝐄'𝐃 𝐁𝐄 𝐇𝐀𝐏𝐏𝐘 𝐓𝐎 𝐃𝐈𝐒𝐏𝐎𝐒𝐄 𝐎𝐅 𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐒𝐇𝐄 𝐎𝐖𝐍𝐄𝐃,  right  down  to  the  footwear  she  cherished  —  –  to  adopt  the  wardrobe  of  lightning.  departing  of  her  own  natural  musk  of  𝚙𝚎𝚘𝚗𝚢 & 𝚑𝚘𝚗𝚎𝚢𝚜𝚞𝚌𝚔𝚕𝚎,  bidding  adieu  to  pastel  pinks  and  lace  accentuated  sundresses,  curious  to  how  her  silhouette  would  appear  in  black, shining  leather. ❛  to  see  if  you  like  —  –  𝐎𝐇, 𝐂𝐎𝐌𝐄 𝐎𝐍, 𝐘𝐎𝐔 ⵑ   .  .  .   light ? think  you  can  save  this  ?  ❜   

irises  —  –   much  like  the  alluring  call  of  ocean  —  –  fixate  on  the  knot  she's  created,  fingertips  careful  of  prying  long  woven  strands  from  her  cranium  𝐀𝐋𝐋 𝐖𝐇𝐈𝐋𝐒𝐓 𝐀𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐓𝐇 𝐋𝐀𝐘𝐒 𝐈𝐍 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐋𝐀𝐏 𝐎𝐅 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐎𝐓𝐇𝐄𝐑.  &  maybe  it's  the  way  lightning's  brows  furrow,  a  muttered  cuss  leaving  her  lips  as  her  frame  leans  𝙲𝙻𝙾𝚂𝙴𝚁  .  .  .  𝙰𝙽𝙳 𝙲𝙻𝙾𝚂𝙴𝚁  .  .  .  into  aerith's  limited  space.  or  the  scent  of  coffee  still  lingering  the  recruits  breath,  reminding  her  of  how  needed  her  company's  become  —  –  but  the  sudden  urge  to  kiss  lightning  𝙱𝙴𝙲𝙾𝙼𝙴𝚂 𝚄𝙽𝙱𝙴𝙰𝚁𝙰𝙱𝙻𝙴,  gaze  unable  to  leave  the  beauty  hovered  atop  her.

and  without  the  other's  permission,  𝐒𝐔𝐁𝐌𝐈𝐓𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐓𝐎 𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐃𝐄𝐄𝐏𝐄𝐒𝐓 𝐃𝐄𝐒𝐈𝐑𝐄,  aerith's  palm  takes  hold  of  the  cheek  of  her  rescuer,  enclosing  what  little  space  is  left  betwixt  them  with  an  endearment  that  could  only  be  described  as  timid  —  –  𝚢𝚎𝚝 𝚌𝚎𝚛𝚝𝚊𝚒𝚗.  lightning  were  not  only  her  saviour  from  tangled  tresses  and  evening  boredom,  but  the  very  𝐋𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐀𝐓 𝐓𝐈𝐄𝐒 𝐇𝐄𝐑 𝐓𝐎 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐄𝐀𝐑𝐓𝐇.  a  reason  to  wake,  to  smile,  to  enjoy  the  smell  of  the  florets  she  so  tenderly  cared  for  .  .  .  and  drink  the  coffee  generously  offered  to  her  each  week.  their  surprise  slowly  eases  against  her  mouth,  reciprocating  their  kiss  with  weight  lightly  resting  atop  the  florist,  facial  structure  drawn  inward  with  aerith's  𝙴𝙽𝙲𝙾𝚄𝚁𝙰𝙶𝙸𝙽𝙶 𝙿𝚄𝙻𝙻 𝙾𝙵 𝙻𝙸𝙶𝙷𝚃'𝚂 𝙹𝙰𝚆.  a  break  for  air,  and  tresses  still  tangled  become  the  least  of  their  concern,  lids  fluttering  open  to  find  aquamarines  already  focused  ‘pon  her.  ❛  .  .  .  sorry  —  –  i’ve  just  .  .  .  𝚆𝙰𝙽𝚃𝙴𝙳 𝚃𝙾 𝙳𝙾 𝚃𝙷𝙸𝚂 𝙵𝙾𝚁 𝙰 𝚆𝙷𝙸𝙻𝙴 𝙽𝙾𝚆.  ❜  a  gentle  brush  of  her  thumb  against  the  pinkette's  face,  &  aerith  speaks  once  more,  yearning  to  pull  the  other  inward  once  more:  ❛  .  .  .  is  this  okay  ?  ❜

he lifts his gaze to look at @ruinga, youthful features filled both with determination, and for the first time since everything started, hope. it was a far cry from what he knew, but the life he knew before might as well have been another life entirely. he would never have thought that he'd go to a world beyond the cocoon, that there even was a world beyond his home, and that he would discover so many truths about both the world and himself. a part of him wondered what else they'd uncover in this path that lightning was leading them down, but he trusted her and everyone else with his heart. after all, he promised to see this through and fight fate alongside them.

A scoff of disbelief — she does not intend to mock , nor does she realize how incredibly cold her tone rings . Her words , her annoyance lies with herself . Lune knows what Lightning means , knows that she , too , struggles to allow that single word to escape her throat . Grief claws desperately within her chest , heart already mourning the lives they will soon witness scatter , fill the skies with petals and dust as their form evaporates ...

They should be accustomed to loss : for decades , it has been all Lumiére has known . Death , death , more death ... Every year , another hundred goodbyes . Be they gommaged or lost on the expedition , it's all the same .

How she wishes she'd grown numb to it by now .

With her own expedition rapidly approaching , it is clear she can no longer dance 'round the cruelty of her own death soon to come . Her entire life has been spent preparing for this , everything devoted to ensuring their success ... and yet , bitterness is the only thing driving her . Not a longing for victory , not a hunger to prove herself , not even her insatiable curiosity . Her chest is heavy with hatred , and that contempt towards the Paintress only swells when she meets Light's eyes , sees the sorrow swimming within them .

She softens , then , a sigh as gaze falls to the ground beneath her feet .

' ... I know . Never any easier . But we'll finish what the others could not . I can't ... I won't allow any other outcome . '

Forcing a smile , Lune places a gentle hand 'pon Light's shoulder .

prompto's not really sure what to say at such a frosty response, shame burning hot on his features. if only the guys were here . . . the thought forms quietly in their mind as they continue through the maze-like forest, and it brings another thought along with it. perhaps @ruinga had people she wanted to return to, too. though he suspected that she somewhat cold and distant by nature, he could sympathize with wanting to end their impromptu team up as soon as possible, that they were expected elsewhere. he'd just have to pick up the slack. so he hurries to fall into step besides her, his wary expression shifting to something more hesitantly friendly.

❝ so . . . if you don't mind me asking, how does that sword of yours work ? it should totally be impossible for it to be both a sword and a gun. ❞

a seed never underestimated their opponent, at least, not the smart ones. that being said, @ruinga was certainly not like any opponent he's fought before. even now he could tell that she wasn't using her full power, and perhaps she had been going easy on him this entire time. considering how he was already on his ass with a mouthful of blood and who knows how many bruises, a part of him wondered just how worse it could get. too bad he never really learned how to quit when he should. spitting out the blood, squall struggled to his feet, holding his gunblade out in front of him after a moment.

≻ what does your muse dream about ? are they lucid , do they sleepwalk ?

tidus dreams a lot of zanarkand at first, and then has nightmares of the events following its destruction. as the story progresses, he often dreams about the events of the game, as well as more abstract ones from time to time. save for those abstract dreams, he's usually completely lucid in all of them

≻ how does your muse handle losing control ?

losing control is unfortunately an inevitability when it comes to vincent's powers, but he tries to mitigate it as much as possible by not letting his emotions overpower him. when it eventually fails, his first instinct is to hide away, and distance himself from the people around him. mostly because he doesn't want to transform again and cause more harm, but also because . . . well, it makes him feel disgusted with himself. though no fault of his own, it just makes him feel exhausted, gross, and frankly like he's less human. of course, it gets kind of better over time, but it still takes a while for him to come with better terms with it

uh oh, that wasn't good. his gaze flicks up to the vice principle a few feet away, knowing that he'd get in even more trouble if they caught him texting his guardian about his situation. hope knew that telling @ruinga about his in class suspension was risky, given lightning's overprotectiveness and how she would raise absolute hell if she came to his school, but perhaps it wasn't too late to do more damage control. he frantically types back, hoping to dissuade the older woman from showing up.
