        "  My anger is not  mine  alone,  my anger is that of those who inhabited my home.  It's all of ours.     &.    it  BURNS    ....  "        There's a brief pause, gloved thumb rubbing over cool metal of Naught's handle;  Emanator fixates on the memories of friends, family    ...    her.  How she had  SLAIN  those she once loved, forced to turn her blade on each one who succumb to the demons. She failed in all her attempts, unable to  save  anyone, not even her own world.    &.    It's happening again, unable to change the course of fate. So, she sprints. Aiming toward anything she has even the  SLIGHTEST  chance of saving  -  But, this desperation    &.    rage continues to scorch her threads. Ever cut    &.    stab filled with a new born wrath than previously    ...    The bloodshed won't stop, it'll consume her soul  -  one clouded in despair, one she wants to remain  PURE.

        Lids close, she cannot look to the Expeditioner in her own eyes    &.    Acheron took a breath;        "  My only regret, should I die from this anguish    &.    suffering, is that I couldn't become strong enough to  save  them. I'll always remain a failure, even if I  do  save others.  "        Another pause    &.    snake like pupils reveal themselves, thunderstorms raging within irises;  they're locked on to Lune's. Un-moving.

        "  Sometimes I believe    ...    It should have been  me.  Had I died, IX wouldn't have had  ITS GAZE  on me    &.    made my life, my friend's lives, a living hell.  "

The two of you are no different , really , both seeking the death of a God as if your everything is not cradled within THEIR hands ; as if THEY will not crush you within palms the moment your heroic expedition bores them .

Nothing more than pawns , insects amongst the Gods who created them . & Oh , how that ignites hatred within you , a disdain you've struggled to stomach your entire life . What little you've lived of it , anyway . This hatred birthed your crusade , demanded you carry the flame kindled by Expeditioners before you if it may promise even a chance to leave a mark 'pon the Paintress who has deemed your life unworthy to continue .

In spite of it , you continue .

Lune follows Acheron's confession with a sharp breath , gaze drifting towards the flames of the campfire they've made ; a moment of respite 'fore time must demand they part . Despite the warmth it brings , the moment creates a chill between them , a difference in ideology she is not partial to ignore . Her words may mean little , her feelings even less , but her own stubbornness compels her to speak .

' But who would carry on your anger ? You fight for them , do you not ? Who would carry your blade , attempt to use it against the god who took you ? Had you died then ... the responsibility would only fall to one of your friends . '
