F/D/P - Favorite Disney Princess

Whenever Ruby wants to spend time with you he’ll offer to watch a movie with you. 

Usually he’ll try to be smooth with it, but you can tell. 

“So I saw that Discovery Channel has a new documentary, sooo.” Ruby trails.  

“Do you want to watch it?” You ask. 

“I don’t know, don’t you have to do something with Monse?” 

“Not today! Let’s watch it, baby.” 

He’ll bribe Abuela to take care of the twins and make his parents go on a date so there’s no distractions. 

 “EVERYONE OUT! Y/N IS COMING IN A HOUR!” 

He’ll build a blanket fort in the living room, hang up fairy lights, and set up your favorite snacks. 

(all organized in a tray he has specifically for movies) 

Even though he’s planned everything, when you come he would still freak out.

“Uh, Hey y/n! You’re early!”

You look at your phone, “I’m actually late, babe.”

“Oh! I didn’t notice, I was too distracted thinking about you.”

Whenever you come over to watch movies it turns into a sleepover, so he makes you take a shower and change into your pajamas before you go into the blanket fort.

He loves seeing you wear the clothes he bought.

After you change you strike poses in front of him.

“Why are you making that face?” You giggle.

“Because you’re teasing me.” He states.

“How?”

“You’re moving that gorgeous body in front of me in tight pajamas! What else would you expect!”

He would let you pick the movie first even if it’s something he doesn’t like.

If you choose a documentary, he’ll tell you fun facts about the subject.

and when it’s his turn he’ll pick a scary movie so he can comfort you. 

(but usually he scares himself too)

After the scary movie the both of you would watch disney movies.

“F/D/P is the best-” You yawn, starting flipping through channels.

“What! You’re acting like Jasmine doesn’t exist.” He argues, wrapping an arm around you.

“Jasmine! Since, when do you like Jasmine?”

“Ever since I realized you can’t be a princess,because you’re a Queen.”

When you fall asleep he wraps a blanket around you and leaves kisses all over your face.

When Ruby’s parents walk in, they would see you snuggled in Ruby’s arms, with the TV still on, shining on your faces.

Ruby can always tell when it’s time to run to the store.

You were usually at home by yourself. Your parents worked a lot and went out a lot. 

 He took notice of this and started to help you out with shopping for you and your family. Buying everything you needed (with money provided from your parents of course) But somehow when he visits later it looks like no one has lived there in days.

“Y/N how do you live like this? We went shopping a week ago!”

He is a coupon master and will bring over sheets of coupons for you to cut. He would get safety scissors for you, but he likes his coupons to be cut in a specific way. 

“Like this, don’t cut off the barcode or we won’t be able to use them!” 

Abuela would drive both of you to the store because Ruby does the shopping for his family as well. 

He likes to go right when the store opens and unless you were feeling bad, the both of you would be there at 7:00am. Even during the winter, you and him would be outside the store in thick snow jackets and mittens. 

No matter what you put on the list he buys the exact thing you meant. 

Even if you just put popsicles he would buy your favorite brand and your favorite flavor. You love how he just gets you.  

He would  criticize you for putting random things but would still buy them. 

“I’m not getting matching socks for us. We don’t need them! You know we’re on a budget rig- well they are on sale. Plus they are kinda cute…. not as cute as you though.”

Even though most of the items on the list was junk food he still adds lots of fresh fruit and vegetables.

 He would call Abuela to ask how to choose good produce and you would watch as he smacks multiple watermelons looking for the best one. 

Ruby wouldn’t want to go into the toy section but somehow you always end up in there, causing him to have to follow.

You would try to buy the twins more presents but Ruby keeps telling you not to.

While checking out you would definitely need to get another cart. 

Ruby would get out his shopping clipboard and start preparing the coupons. 

By the time he’s used all the coupons the store would owe him money.  

The items would be placed in his old reusable bags with fruit on them.

Any stickers he gets are given to you, which means you leave the store with a bright yellow sticker on your cheek. 

After loading up the groceries he would let you sit in the cart and push you around.

and Ice cream is always needed after hours of shopping. 

When the groceries are being put into the house he gives you all the light bags 

“No no I got it. I’m not letting you carry all this heavy stuff. You could hurt yourself.” 

And he would help you help put up your groceries at your house.

Rainy Skies:

She sat there on the rooftop looking out at the neighborhood, a cool breeze passing over her body causing her to cover herself with her arms. She left out a deep shaky breath closing her eyes, sending out a plea, for happiness, for this idea or self love that she couldn’t fathom within herself. She closed her eyes tighter biting her lip as she felt her eyes begin to water, letting out a whimper she felt her loss of control, she opened her eyes and looked down at her backyard, the calming pool that lit under the moonlight coaxing her to jump to be free. Moving towards the edge of her roof, now her feet near the end she felt a hand grab her arm roughly backwards causing her to turn in shock “What are you doing up here?” His voice uncertain and shaky as she looked at his reddened eyes and messy hair “Ruby, why are you here?” She whispered into the air as he looked at her, finally looking at her broken smile.

“I came because I just knew to come here. I can’t explain it, I just felt this pull in my chest and I knew it was because of you. Then as I’m running here I see you.. standing there.. and I know what you were thinking (Y/N).” Ruby said softly as she looked down at her feet “No you don’t Ruby.” She replied as he shook his head “I do. You were thinking it’d be easier to end it all. Stop the feeling. The hurting. Stop breathing. You were thinking that no one would miss you if you did it, the same thing you were thinking when you were cutting yourself and almost died, the same thing you were thinking just now. But you’re wrong (Y/N).” He said his voice fully broken and quiet.

“I would care. I would cry, I would hate myself if anything happens to you. You mean the world to me, you’re my sunshine on my dark days, ever since Olivia, you’ve been my only happy place.. if anything ever happened to you, I- I wouldn’t know what to do without you..” Ruby said with tears falling down in his face as he grabbed onto her pulling her close to him. In each others embrace they both sunk into the roof panels with the taps of rain hitting each panel around them, she looked up “It’s raining.” She said softly not even sure if it was in the form of a statement or question “Those are my tears falling around us, because this life, my life would be so grey without you with me.” He said holding her hand raising it to his lips softly as she nodded.

She swayed softly to the music that were calming her ears, she held her body softly wrapping herself in a blanket of protection. She walked into the cool grass, taking off her shoes, allowing her toes to few the small water drops along her feet, she then sat down looking up at the moon without any word. She watched the sky, counted the stars as the music continued playing. “You don’t see stars like this in the city.” She said causing the person behind her to freeze “Is that why you’re out here?” They asked as she shook her head wrapping her arms around herself.

“No, I’m out here because you hurt me.” She said squeezing her sides as she heard his footsteps until she saw his feet beside her “I know, but you didn’t let me finish what I was saying.” He said softly as she looked over at him, his brown eyes now soft and calm “Your size. It’s something I’ve never seen before, because you’re so confident. Most people would hide away, but your wear yourself with such positivity and love that I’m not sure how someone as beautiful as you could even look at someone like me and feel anything.” He said looking at his hands in his lap. “You only heard me tell Jamal, that I was scared. It wasn’t because of your size. It was because the last girl I really loved.. she.. she got a bullet through her.. and I don’t want that to happen to you.” He said sniffling.
