⸻ ☀︎ born oct. 15th in corona, the kingdom. princess ruby fitzherbert is the second-youngest royal of king eugene fitzherbert & queen rapunzel.

⸻ ☀︎ her childhood growing up was filled with joy — but also shaped by court etiquette — royal-education & the expectations of an royal-princess. but it wasn’t until later that she realized the crown was never meant for her. more often than not — she could be found in the palace gardens at dawn — her fingers tracing the veins of leafs — her royal hands stained with dirt.

⸻ ☀︎ as her older sibling trained for the throne — she quietly discovered her kingdom in the in-between spaces — where wildflowers grew through castle stones & healing herbs flourished in forgotten corners.

⸻ ☀︎ merlin academy — became both sanctuary & an prison-tower. surrounded by peers who accepted limitations without question. she wrestled with the weight of unused potential. inherited from her mother — she carries her golden stranded legacy that echos of ancient power — an gift both precious & forbidden in many kingdoms that chose safety over freedom. always pulsing with energy she couldn't release.

⸻ ☀︎ but it was within this tension that her convictions took root. when auradon finally declared those from the isle could have freedom only on predetermined terms — her heart broke as she saw the cruel irony for what it was. kingdoms — were still trying to dictate the fates & dreams of others. as freedom isn't some conditional gift — its an birthright!

⸻ ☀︎ as she never understood why the isle children were expected to pay for an legacy that wasn’t there own. her stance was silently clear — everyone deserved the right to choose there own path — even if it defied fairy godmother — kings — queens — decrees. & yet she's no better then the royals & the fairy godmother. as she isn't strong enough to fight & say what is needed to be said.

⸻ ☀︎ auradon university — currently she is studying herbal biochemistry — as she's determined to improve medicine in an kingdom still recovering from it's magical restrictions. but . . . with no crown waiting for her — as her older sibling is the heir to the throne — she is truly unsure what role she is meant to play in all this. to fill the space between duty & identity — she’s taken up jewelry & metal-smithing. quietly crafting beauty while figuring out her place in the world.

Ruby may look like her mother, but she's always had her father’s spirit. She was always quick to have a sarcastic comment or joke and when she was very young, silverware would often end up in her room. But she learned very quickly that that’s not how princesses acted, so she changed. She became better, more ladylike, classier, whatever she could to fit in. She even got a boyfriend, everyone was happy for her and Chad and they seemed perfect for each other. Nothing could disrupt the balance. Except Ben deciding to bring villains kids to their land, and the urge to forgo her fake life was back more than ever before
