Happy New Year to you! We are already mid January in 2019 but I can thankfully say I don’t feel like time is moving too fast which can be a great for the spirit but perhaps not so much for our burnt pockets. If you were smart you’ve gotten some of your best summer pieces shopped during the massive January sales and if you’re hearing this for the first time, head out to your favorite online and physical stores to start bagging them sales. Rubi is still having a massive 50% OFF sale and some of my favorite December items are still in stock, like the Wisteria Block heel and Vienna frame sunglasses. These were the perfect summer items that I could wear with a myriad of different looks over the holidays and once again Rubi just gets it so right with these on trend but classic styles. I will be rotating these pieces in my closet for years. 

About this look:

For summer I like to keep it light and wear as little as possible purely because it’s so damn hot. I got myself a cute pair of denim shorts from Zara that I painstakingly searched the rails and the put back piles for. I finally came across this shredded beauty that fit me perfectly. I’d worn a similar look to the #DayCation party here in Capetown and merely swapped out the shirts and frames for a different feel. The Wisteria low block heel is honestly the perfect minimalist heel and matches the vibe of the denim shorts so well. I wore a vintage white linen shirt that a friend gave me years ago and accessorized with the Vienna short frames and textured Britt belt bag (also from Rubi.) 

It’s quite an effortless look and the accessories are what lift the outfit even more. I also feel like this is the quintessential fashion blogger’s look, I’ve never worn an outfit like this before but these were the items in my closet that I knew I could combine to create a stunning summer look that encapsulates the vibe of each accessory. And now I consider this one of my favorite looks and shoots to date. It’s been six months of being a #RubiMuse brand ambassador and I’ve just loved having an outlet for my creative flow especially working with a brand like Rubi that I sincerely feel really gets it right when it comes to style longevity and trendiness simultaneously.
