King IV’s music is gritty and edgy, imaginative and bold. In other words, the moment I stumbled upon this Melbourne based alt pop artist’s music, I was hooked. Her latest single Bump is a bass rumbling, dark swervy electronica, dancehall, and electropop emulsion exploding with sawing energy and blistering verve. Grimes’ artistic eccentricity meets Kill J’s experimental bewitchment, M.I.A.’s tough grit, and Sleigh Bells’ noisy flair. Mazde - Fading Out (feat. Rromarin)

We just discovered Melbourne alt/electro pop artist King IV recently and featured her latest original in our prior post. To be honest, we were so enraptured by her gritty, edgy music that we took our time going through the music she’d had out so far. That’s when we came upon this bubbly carbonated, crisp crackling remix of King IV’s We Can Get It featuring Kult Kyss’ Rromarin by Donatachi. They Sydney producer’s futuristic edit of We Can Get It adds sharp glistening synths and a whole lot of exhilarating trap and bass bounce. It’s a soapy effervescent re-work that reminds me of Melanie Martinez’s Soap in its most sudsy moments. I can literally envision bubbles bursting as I dance my way across the room in ecstasy to Donatachi’s wicked remix, which you can download, here.
