Some thoughts on the recent episodes
1. I think it was really shitty of Ryan to tell Charity about the stuff with Ross when he told Ross he wasnāt going to. Btw I donāt understand why so many people in fandom keep going on and on about Ross being a drug addict the show has made it clear heās not using anymore. Mainly I just think it was sad because Ryan was one of the few friends Ross had and instead of having his back he had Charityās. If Ross was a danger to Moses Iād say yeah then she should know but heās not using and heās not going to be alone.
2. Ross is a better parent then Charity sorry Charity fans but itās the truth. Ross has done a lot of messed up things but heās there for Moses way more than Charity has been. i think Moses should have gone with Ross. Now who is Charity going to pawn him off on when she needs a babysitter? She mainly wanted to keep Moses for the principle of the matter not because she wants to spend time with him and raise her son.
3. Iām glad Seb and Rebecca left although I donāt think this is the last weāve seen of either of them. I anticipate that this whole thing is going to get drawn out for a little while longer. Iām still hoping we get a paternity twist out of everything which I do think can still happen even without Ross on screen. At the end of the day a paternity twist wouldnāt be about Ross (since the actor has left) it would be about the angst it would cause Robron and the storylines that would come from that.
4. I still strongly believe that long term Seb isnāt going to be sticking around if he was then I donāt think the subject of another kid would be in the works like it is. I think if Seb leaves for good that opens up a lot of places the show can take Robron. Theyāve already introduced the topic of adoption and apparently theyāre going to be talking about surrogacy so it seems like thatās the road Robron are going down. Iām still hoping theyāre going to get the sl they deserved when it comes to having kids because their first kid should not have come from the offensive misery that was last years sl.
5. I found it gross and offensive that we had to see Aaron begging her and Rob crying over her suffering because she couldnāt leave with Ross. Rebecca has never cared about them or their feelings and couldnāt even take responsibility for her actions last year. The way Emmerdale has made her the perpetual victim and acted like her feelings take precedence over Robert and Aaronās right until the end is just sad. I mean Iām glad sheās gone and left with Seb but that doesnāt mean I liked how any of it has played out, her continued presence in their lives has been offensive since 2016.
6. I have to say I kind of have mixed feelings about ED at the moment. Like I will always love Robron but Iām just exhausted by how the show has treated them for so long. Watching the recent few episodes I thought I would feel a lot better with her leaving but mostly I just feel drained by things that have been going on since last year. I havenāt known any other couple on any other soap that has had another person attached to them the way Rebecca has been with Robron. I also havenāt seen any other couple have their baby be more the focus then them. Kids on soaps usually go to the ākids closetā, I mean look at the Hope twins when was the last time we saw them before today? Everything lately is about Seb even in fandom I canāt even go on my dash anymore without seeing Seb. Which I think is a big part of the problem there doesnāt even feel like like thereās a Robron fandom anymore just a Seb fandom. Iām hopeful that things will improve with her exit but I guess weāll just see how it all plays out.
