imagine the little boy who ran around with everyone. the other little boys saying “ew gross” when it came to girls but chase was pretty cool about it, especially since his best friend was the little girl next door. chase has always been the laid back type and had the whole ‘go with the flow’ attitude. he was the middle child, that his parents never had to worry about, so when he announced at his 18th birthday party he was joining the army, it came to quite a shock. chase left for basic and was deployed multiple times, did a few tours over seas until he got shot twice, once in the back of the calf and the other in his shoulder. so he’s now come back home to surprise everyone. confetti everywhere!

he spends his free time at a local bar with his best bud garrison, shooting pool ragging on each other while convinced they’re gonna kick each others ass. their “military squad” is so well known at this bar it’s become basically the hotspot for them all to go grab a beer and let loose. he also spends a lot of his time talking through walkie talkie’s with his best friend and soon to be girlfriend kira (though neither know it yet because their feelings are just surfacing). he’s terrible at riding horses but the kind of guy he is, he will do it anyway to spend time with you. he’s forgetful so if he forgets your plans he promises it won’t be intentional. he’s full of anecdotes and jokes, if you can handle his dominant personality at times, you’re good in his eyes.

val was born somewhere in texas but somehow ended up in pavor with her mom after they left her dad because he wasn't a nice person. her mom wasn't perfect either so val kinda took care of herself mostly from the time she was like 13. her mom had a job just to barely keep the roof of a shitty house over their heads, but val was pretty much allowed to do whatever she wanted, which usually involved being out of the house because it was boring just sitting around watching her mom get drunk. she went to lame teen house parties and played spin the bottle and seven minutes in heaven and all that jazz.

ten years later she's all grown up and on her own! just kidding. she's part of the crackhouse crew and lives in a house in basilo with a handful of other young "adults" who are totally not running it into the ground or anything. she tends to walk around in either a shirt (no bra) and underwear or a bra and like track pants or something. it's hot af new mexico and clothes are annoying. ~shrug. also she's a simple dog walker but like not consistently. she's not responsible or motivated enough for the 9 to 5 life (but she gets to hang out with dogs and it's fab) so she just barely contributes to the household tbh.
