Four days. Marcus had managed to avoid the conversation for a whole 4 days. After neros admission on the front porch, he hadn't been alone with their mother long enough for her to broach the subject again. But he was fast running out of excuses - artemis needs a run, the car needs checking, grocery shopping. But fleur was patient and had sussed out the perfect oppurtunity.
Marcus enjoyed his workout time. In the city he had a few gym memberships he took advantage off, rising early and betting out the crowds normally. He was more of an early bird than a night owl. The last few days he thought he was the only one, up and starting the day at first sunrise. While he had to stay at neros, the one luxury he could enjoy was peaceful morning jobs through the town and back again. He could probably tackle a real marathon if he had the chance. But his job didnt allow for vacation time.
Artemis was all for the idea to, running beside marcus as they made their way back over a particularly steep hill. He checked his watch quickly

Successful morning really. As they rounded a row of bushes and turned down the gravel driveway, he felt his stomach drop. Fleur was sat out on the porch swing, cup of something steaming in hand. He knew the look in her eyes meant she wasnt going to let him avoid it anymore.
